Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
The hockey is a must for any sports loving visitor to Vancouver. It’s a great game, and the arena keep up the entertainment all night long. There is plenty of food and drink and the arena is really well located for any visitor staying in the heart of Vancouver.
Interesting museum with the centre point being the refurbished St Roch ship which dates from 1927 and had a number of notable achievements including being the first ship to complete the NW passage in both directions (1944).
You can wander around the ship and be very glad that you will never have to endure such limited living conditions and extreme...
Looking for something different to do, we came to the Museum.
What a nice museum. The Haida Now exposition is beautifully set.
The exposition showing Vancouver’s history has a great assortment of artifacts dating many decades. And they are beautifully set.
It was Avery fun experience and I learned about the city’s history. Nice and interesting story, as well as...
This is my favourite place in Vancouver for ice cream. The salted caramel and malted milk flavors are fantastic. Those two flavors are one of their staples but every month they have a temporary selection of new and different flavor combos including vegan options. They also also have wonderful waffle cones made on the premises. There is seating but I...
We have been to this location many times, the food is always great. This time in particular we had Nicholas as our server and he was so friendly and ensured that we had a great time. We will back and hope to have him as our server again! :)
We only managed to get a reservation at 8:30pm and we were finally seated at around 9pm. The tasting menu was excellent, the timing of each course was perfect, and the service was very good.
However, the music at the restaurant was too loud and the seating was a tad too cramped. However, we will visit again if we get...
We visited Bishops. The service was amazing, their wine list has a great selection. What really made our dining experience was the 6 course tasting menu they have. The value is amazing for which we paid. We will be back and highly recommend this restaurant.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed a Valentines dinner at Fable Kitchen and experienced outstanding service. The server displayed extensive menu knowledge and recommended wine pairings with the food we ordered. I was overly impressed by the level of service, as well as the quality of food.
We recommend the Butternut Squash Risotto and Miso Glazed Sablefish!
We'll be back!
