The North Coast of Taiwan (Wanli District/ Jinshan District area) is filled with breathtakingly extraordinary rock formations, the most widely known of which is the various unique geological landscapes in Yehliu Geopark. The famous Queen’s Head, Fairy Shoe, etc., are absolute works of beauty by nature’s uncanny craftsmanship. One must also taste the authentic seafood cuisine when visiting the North Coast. Delicious dishes cooked with fresh catches are the favorite of gourmets. If you visit in fall, don’t miss the great taste of Wanli crabs.
Jinbaoli Old Street is as busy as it was a hundred years ago. Here you can taste the local cuisine specials of sweet potatoes, jumping taros, etc. The area of Jinshan and Wanli is also a known hot spring resort, where you can experience hot spring baths and remove your body of fatigue and stress.
The Juming Museum situated in Jinshan District gathers all of Master Ju Ming's life work in the art park. Located beside the mountains and neighboring seas, the important creations from varying periods by the sculpting master are displayed in accordance with different terrains and landscapes.
"Beautiful museum in a beautiful mountainous area"
reviewed January 20, 2020 by Hubert E
Being a Tai Chi practitioner, my friends brought me to this museum which is devoted to the work of a Taiwanese artist. The place is mainly about sculpture, but there are also some other exhibits (photo, modern art installations). The museum is established in a huge park, with many monumental sculpture and installations. The road to the place is lovely,...
The Buddhist college temple founded by Master Sheng Yan. You can enjoy the fresh air, flowers and grass.
It leaning on the mountain and facing the sea with the nice horizon view. The water in front of the Guanyin Temple make you feel calm. It is definitely worth to visit this place.
This is by fast the most beautiful resting place for any artist in the world. So beautifully created everything! From her beautiful grave site to giant piano, green landscapes decorated with flowers... beautiful stone carvings.. Although I couldn't go inside the main garden where I wanted to but yet truly mesmerized from my visit. Thanks!
Serves really good local dishes! I was skeptical at first cos i am not quite used to eating non-braised duck but i was so wrong.
They operate in a very unique way ie. The kitchen is right outside of a temple, chefs will mass cook each dish, plate it in individual plate, place on the serving table and you can...
Nice quiet restaurant in top of the hotel. Dinner was buffet style with a main dish either pork, beef , chicken or fish. The buffet does not have many item, but food was fresh. The restaurant was very quiet and nice view of mountain. Even the price was high, but worth try.
Hotel is located in the mountains, great view and outdoor facilties, with lots of hot spring baths. Room is a bit old, found a few ants and mosquito in room, may be due to its location in the mountain and the sulphuric atmosphere. Bed is still clean and comfy, but poor sound proofing, noise from upstairs conference room. Good staff...
The resort is in the middle of now where, so it’s a good way to stay and relax and escape the city crowd. The front desk service was friendly and quick. The room was large with Swiss ate shower area and the hot siring area. The hot spring area was design by wood and rock. And it’s huge which good...
Nestled in the lush mountain forest, this is the way the hot spring experience is at its best. Good, clean facilties with well marked gradual increases in hot spring temperature, together with spa, steam room and sauna options. Not too crowded (it was a Friday),a great overall experience
There is a private car pick-up from Taipei downtown to this resort and it takes around 55 minutes. The 2 different young lady driver who picked us up and brought us back to Taipei were both very good -- no matter on their driving skills and attitude. We already got a good impression when we stepped inside the car heading...
bad service, lousy managers no one cares. Restaurant close on Monday. Where do you
expect to eat on Monday? They have temporary employees only and they don't care. The hotel lobby stinks. Told them so and they laugh about it. Terrible management.
