In Acadia National Park, the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse's beacon reflects in the water as dusk approaches. One of 12 in the area of this island national park, the lighthouse was commissioned in 1855 for $5,000. Originally, the structure also included a 4,000-pound fog bell that was later replaced by a smaller bell. PC: Jose Torres (nationalparktrips, Feb 2019)
