Hi Miss Tang, Thanks for your review. We're happy you found the Château so beautiful, that you liked your room and the restaurant and that you found the staff helpful. We don't have reception staffed after 8pm (9pm in summer) but instead suggest that guests with issues speak to the management in the restaurant who are present until approximately 1am. We also have a duty manager on call 24/7, with the number in the guestbook and at the door to the Château. Following your review we are going to make sure this is more clearly communicated to all guests. We are sorry about the flies in your room. This can be an occassional problem when the weather gets 'heavy' (hot and humid), but we treat regularly and it's normally not an issue - hence the lack of screens. We should have ensured that your room was entirely free of bugs prior to your arrival, and have spoken to housekeeping to ensure that is the case. Our breakfast is a buffet, and so shouldn't really need more than one server on duty, but we are sorry you didn't feel this was enough. We are a French Château though and so our breakfast is a French one rather than an international buffet. We feel the choice is pretty wide though: Cereals; Croissants, Pain au chocolat and baguette, toasting bread; homemade yogurt; fresh fruit; Fruit salad; cheeses & charcuterie and scrambled eggs. Further to recent feedback, we have added bagels, salmon and cream cheese as well as fried eggs and eggs benedict to order, and we hope that this will bring the breakfast up to expectations.
