We were so looking forward to lunch here and had peeked at the menu online to ensure they had gf options (which they did), but overall this lunch was a bit of a fail. Firstly, they need to address wine list - there’s 4 Sav Blancs (or blends of) on there and only two

We are sorry to read your review and whilst we certainly don't like to receive reviews of this nature, we welcome the opportunity to reassess and fix problems that have occurred to avoid them happening in the future. In response to your comments regarding our wine list, we have a team who have carefully selected the wines to suit the varying palates of our clientele. As we've gone through the cooler months, you would have noticed the list is slightly heavier on reds due to increased demand during this time. We have a large variety of white wines available ranging from SB, Chenin, Rielsing, Pinot Grigio & Chardonnay. For clarification, there are only 2 x SBs (one Marlborough & one Tasmanian), 2 x SSBs (Margaret River & NSW), & 1 x SBS (Albany WA). All varietals are quite different and suit varying palates. The WA Chardonnay on our list is extremely popular as is the other one which suits those preferring the less oaky Chardonnay. We are aware of the recent resurgence in popularity of Chardonnays, with many wineries developing a great range of new style Chardonnays, some of which we look forward to featuring on our new wine list for summer as the demand for whites, roses etc increase as it warms up! It appears there was certainly some confusion regarding the GF dishes. Let's start with the chips which are most definitely GF. For those who are coeliac, we have a separate fryer and therefore it should have been asked of you at the time of ordering whether this was a requirement. We do not offer chips with our calamari portions, so this is confusing. We're pleased to see you received the GF bread, however this absolutely should have been mentioned at the time. Nonetheless, we have run through this again with our team to ensure the right information is given in this situation. The Venison Cassoulet has been on our menu for over a year now due to its popularity and is usually most plentiful in portion size, so we cannot comment on the half empty plate as shown in the photo. However, following your review we have checked this with the chef who has taken note of your comments. We also sampled some portions today - all of which were ample in venison portion combined with the mixed bean component of the cassoulet. We have taken steps to increase the portion size of our wings, as we agree - these were on the smaller size due to the batch of wings that we received, and in this case more should have been put on the plate to compensate for the smaller size. We sincerely apologise for your experience and rest assured that we have discussed your review with our team, at length.
