If you need to stay at Stradford area, this would be the place to stay. We stayed at one bedroom unit upstairs. A double (may be queen) bed and a single bed in bedroom and another double/queen in living area. Very spacious. Bathroom is modern and spacious and in high standard. …

Thank you for your review on Amity Court Motel. It's great to hear you enjoyed your one bedroom unit with the two queens and one single bed in it. I couldn't agree with you more, we have fantastic grounds out the back with a big grassed lawn. We are currently talking about how we can make this even better as we believe there is so much potential there. We do have a BBQ for guest use! Just pop by the reception and we can help you with it. Stratford has lots of great attractions if you know where to look. We are surrounded by many beautiful walks, both up the mountain and in the township (these run along the Patea River and offer awesome views). We have great local attractions such as the Pioneer Village, The Glockenspiel, New Zealands first Cinema to have talking movies (which runs new release movies in the almost untouched original cinema, its amazing. Like stepping back in time but with new movies! Great for children and adults), we have the local pools with an inflatable obstacle course, lots of well maintained playgrounds, the Percy Thompson Art Gallery, Dolly's milk (where you can visit the cows), Speedway (summer only), Dawson Falls, Hollard Gardens (an awesome place to go if you like gardens or if you have kids! It has a great play area). There is also golf, The Forgotten World Highway, the Lavender Farm, The Possum Factory and of course the majestic Mt Taranaki just to name a few! Not to mention that we are only a 30 minute drive from New Plymouth and Hawera so we are in the perfect spot to take advantage of all of the wonderful things that Taranaki has to offer!
