The only annoyance with this hotel is that the restaurant is short-staffed. But then I found out why - instead of paying waiters the min wage of $15/hr, Crowne Plaza downtown Seattle only pays waiters $9/hr and then tax on 18% service charge automatically to the customer's bill.…

I regret that you were given information that is not accurate in regards to our staff. We follow all the guidelines for the minimum wage law in both Seattle and Washington State for our wait staff. 100% of the 18% service charge goes to the employee.
