Our first time visiting the area and staying at Budle Bay campsite. We were met by friendly reception staff who helped us pick a nice quiet spot for our tent & pointed out the facilities. We really liked this campsite as we were right at the side of the river and lots of

Thank you for your review. I will pass on your comments about their friendliness to the reception staff. They are nice people and its good to let them know others appreciate them as I do. Clean well lit showers and toilets; nice to hear the cleaning staff were on top form over a very busy wet and windy bank holiday. Well done to them. A powered hair drier is an interesting suggestion. We have safety sockets for those who bring their own hair driers but I didn't think of those who don't. I will look it that. I like the river side too. The sound of running water and all the trees makes a great back drop to a camping experience. Great to hear that you like the area. Its got a lot going for it (despite the lack of paths!) but I can see that you diddn't see it all and will no doubt be spreading your wings a little further the next time you come back to stay with us. Ask the staff for some suggestions of places to visit outside of the usual ones. Here is one from me if you don't mind a few miles drive. About 20 miles north of Berwick upon Tweed, so 40 miles north of us, is St Abb's Head. A coastal village at the bottom of vertical cliffs with an amazing light house and so many sea birds. The views, the walks along the sheer cliffs, the sea and an amazing village make it a great day out! Thanks for staying with us and we look forward to welcoming you back.
