Great as always, with a side order of genuine class.

Cracked soup cup let the nice little eatery down. Aside from that it's a pleasant little eatery with a nice theme. Food was enjoyable and pleasant staff in period dress. They might have asked the couple with a small child to keep its feet off the tables.

Hi there and thanks for your review. I'm very sorry to hear that your soup was served in a cracked cup. All our crockery and China is vintage and it does get used over and over again and things do break and chip. This one has obviously slipped through our beady eye so a slap on the wrist to us for that! With regard to other people's children's behaviour, this is quite a tricky area. It is very difficult for us to tell our customers about their child and have received retaliation in doing so in the past and as you can imagine, then a bad review about us being unfriendly and unwelcoming to children; so I feel your comment is a little unfair in this respect. However, we're glad you enjoyed your food and do hope you take a chance on a visit to us again soon. Kind regards
