The very first thing I did on reading your wonderful feedback was to copy and paste it off TripAdvisor and forward it on to Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens, our talented architect team, and Annemarie Meintjies who was responsible for the interior design. Needless to say, they were tickled pink! Thank you so much for this thoughtful and complimentary feedback on Angama Mara's design. Having built a few lodges over the past 25 years we think we saved the best for last. We hope so anyway. There is a strong recurring theme of classic safari in most top end lodges so we decided to go for broke, throw that book right out of the window and start from scratch. The was an interesting debate on function versus form with the design team batting strongly for the latter but at the end of the day, our guests had to be comfortable regardless. The journey was fun. Thank you too for your kind words about the staff - they are the heart of the business and without them, it would just be lovely buildings with no soul. We are so proud of them. From the whole Angama Mara our heartfelt thanks Nicky Fitzgerald
