Dear ncnn2000, As an avid TripAdvisor reviewer your detailed observations are welcomed as it helps us understand where we do well and where we can improve. That is correct; our property is located out of the Taupo town centre by around 4km and towards the top of Napier Road hill. This does mean that our views offer guests the uninterrupted sights of Lake Taupo and ski mountains, which are particularly colourful at this time of the year.
