We have a 'Queen room with balcony and sofa'. The room couldn't be further from the one on the Travelodge website which we booked through. On entering our curtains where shut making the room even more dingy. The carpet has stains on it and the fridge had condensation on it.

Hello Emma T, I am extremely disappointed to read about your experience with us. The reason we are currently closing the curtains is due to the extreme heat that the Queensland sun beams into the rooms each afternoon. We find with the curtains closed, we are able to block out some of this heat. Unfortunately, it does not block out all heat, and will still produce some condensation on the fridge door, we are unable to avoid this. We do offer unlimited wi-fi to our guests, which is a recent upgrade. We were only offering 100MB and we are currently awaiting updated compendiums for the rooms to be delivered. This should have been advised to you upon check-in. I do apologise for this and will speak to the Reception team. We currently have some rooms in the hotel without in-room safes as the locking mechanism have been broken, so they have been removed whilst they are being repaired. Unfortunately, you may have been allocated one of these rooms. I apologise for this inconvenience. I am unable to locate your booking based on the information given in your review, and I cannot see any record of Reception being notified of any these issues recently.
