We are convinced that friendliness and hospitality are the nuts and bolts of hospitality industry. Greeting our guests and asking for their well being is also part of good manners and all of our staff members practice these pleasantries also in their every day live. We are sorry you think this friendliness is "unnatural". Our comfortable hotel bar and lobby area is usually well visited. Especially at night or on rainy days our guests like to enjoy a warming beverage or a glass of wine. We would have been pleased, to serve you a drink, so could have soaked in the atmosphere yourself. Also, we want to apologize that you felt claustrophobic in the double room for single use that we assigned to you. We really thought the free upgrade from a single room would be appreciated. The room is located to one of our inner courtyards, and not to an alley or the street, as you asked for a quiet room. We are sorry that you still heard sounds coming from neighbouring rooms. It would have been helpful to let us know that you are not satisfied with the room we chose. If we know this, we can react immediately and show you alternatives. We did not get the chance to improve wich made you and us both unhappy and did not solve anything. We hope you will find another hotel in the beautiful city of Graz.
