We booked Le Bristol having wanted to visit for some time and as we had booked a weekend stay. Our visit was to cover two hotels in two days and unfortunately our weekend coincided with the yellow jacket protests in Paris. We tried to walk to the Bristol amid a police lockdown

Dear EMS, You are too kind to have taken the time to share with TripAdvisor readers, your weekend visit to Paris in December. I remember too well meeting you both on arrival, after your challenging walk that Saturday from the Ritz! We were only too happy to plan for a film in the bar that afternoon when we saw how the day was unfolding in the neighborhood. Midnight in Paris seemed appropriate, and it was just by chance that the star of the film, Owen Wilson stopped by the Hotel one hour before showing. Too fun to show him the opening cover in sepia tones on the big screen in the bar, all ready to go. One could not have possibly planned such a coincidence. We have such a wonderful clientele that it is a pleasure to do whatever we can to ensure that everyone is at home, at all times, whatever the circumstances. It was lovely to have a full bar to enjoy together a glass of champagne, or two, and some nibbles while being entertained by that fabulous film of Woody Allen. As a matter a fact, not certain if all readers are aware that it was actually filmed at Le Bristol during 2010. Le Bristol was happy to have all the key people involved with the film for two and a half months in residence. And of course you mentioned the visit following the film to our new laboratories one floor below the three Michelin star Epicure. We are very proud to show off our new bakery with its flour mill where our Chef baker Mathieu grinds our own flour and produces the most amazing “living bread”. Chef Eric Frechon who is celebrating his twenty years at Le Bristol, and ten years with the three Michelin stars this year, selected eight different grains carefully researched in order to offer a better than organic experience. The chocolate laboratory is also new, and Chef Johan is responsible for this great enhancement as all chocolates are now created here at Le Bristol. Glad too that you were able to see the Epicure kitchen staff in action, and then to be able to enjoy a dinner later on. Thank you writing, and for being such a great ambassador for Le Bristol. We hope to have the pleasure of a return visit some weekend when the Yellow Vests have hung up those yellow vests! Best wishes, Leah Marshall Hotel Manager
