Thank you for your recent review on TripAdvisor. I am delighted that you enjoyed so many aspects of your stay, the taster menu in Arboreal in particular. Arboreal is a 7 course taster menu, which currently boasts 2 AA rosettes and Chef and his team are pushing hard for a third. All of the food is locally sourced and freshly made on our premises. Arboreal offers the more contemporary, complex and elegant dishes, although for our guests who prefer the more familiar style of food, we have the Merewood Grill. The Grill offers a range of steaks, including the Tomahawk sharing steak, the breed of the week, as well as some Cumbrian classics. Thank you for your comments about the service that you received. Helen and our team try and offer a warm and friendly service throughout, as we want you to feel as though you are in a home from home.
