Dear guest, Thank you very much for this comment. We will respond your comment in chronological way. 1) Indeed in this area we have some high palms. The Volcano view is not blocked but a bit distorted. We try as less as possible to cut trees because of our sustainable way of working and thinking. But we also listen to our guests. For that reason we have decided to cut down, in coming low season, some parts of the trees. We are so sorry that these trees where one of the reasons that you have not been satisfied with your room. 2) We have ironing boards in the Junior Suites and Master Suites. Not in the Deluxe rooms. But with pleasure we supply on request or as you mentioned. Also we provide dry cleaning or ironing service free of charge for any guests as a part of our service policy. 3) Balconies have a 1.50 m wall for privacy. 4) The card systems we took away since some months. Because we know and are fully aware of the fact that this system could be a little annoying. But the result was hundreds of left towels every where in the public areas and the building, during the day and large amounts of missing towels every week. For that reason we needed to implement again this system...unfortunately.. We are very sorry for that. 5) Most of our guests are going out during the day, and in the evening will return to the hotel. As you might have noticed most beds are free and not in use during a big part of the day, during sunny hours. We are really sorry the you have experienced this different. 6) We serve coffee Britt, the famous coffee Brand from Costs Rica. We are really sorry that you could not appreciate this coffee. 7) The juices, like orange Juice are natural juices without any additions or artificial ingredients and no sugar added. Because of the sunny climate in Costa Rica, they might be more sweet than that you are used too. We are so sorry that you did not like that. 8) Our gym is small, because our hotel is boutique and quite small. But we fully agree with you observation. We know that the equipment was a bit outdated. We are very happy to announce that new imported equipment arrived and will be installed next week. From the 1th of may 2019 we will future state of the art Gym equipment again. We hope to see you back, enjoying the new fancy equipments. 9) We are fully aware about your irritation of not being upgraded to a suite as a Expedia Vip member. But please keep in mind that in high season we ALWAYS, without exception, send a message to guests, very far in advance, that free upgrades are not possible due to high occupation. Free upgrades we can give (and with pleasure we do) in case of availability. As you stayed with us during Easter season, what is peak season with a 100% fully booked hotel, unfortunately we are not able to offer this advantage. Our concierge has offered you the second day a Junior suite (after trying and doing a lot of movements with other guests and rooms booked by guests) to satisfy your desires.
