Thank you very much for your feedback about Pig and Pallet. We take all comments on board and they are discussed with the team. We have a policy not to respond to individual reviews and comments on Trip Advisor. If this is a problem for you we are really sorry and get in touch or pop back in and we can chat. If we get anything wrong in our service or quality we will put it right and apologise, but if you don't like the style and philosophy of Pig and Pallet then there are many other places to eat in an environment where you will feel more relaxed and comfortable, as will we. Not every place is the same and this is what makes independent businesses so great and exciting. If you had a problem and you mentioned it at the restaurant we would have explained, but if this is the first time you are telling us about it then here are some common observations, which often get left to Trip Advisor to complain about. The chicken is not undercooked it is smoked and brined and this is what makes it look pink, just like the pork. If you think some of the food tastes of chemicals it will be because we cook it on wood so it is properly smoked. This is not as common as you would think for people selling smoked food but we believe it should be cooked on wood just like they do in the USA. We are really sorry if you don't like this but this is what we are looking for in our smoked BBQ food. If you go to any diner or BBQ joint in America, you will see the burger baskets. That’s what they use and that’s what we use. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives programme on Food Network (Chanel 41), is where we get some of our inspiration from. We aim to make the most amazing food from great high welfare produce, if we fall short then please tell us. Our service is relaxed and friendly and inclusive, if we fall short then tell us. We aim to serve you as quick as possible but we do make everything in house so it's not always fast food quick, if you think we are too slow please tell us. Our first core value as a business is to be nice, if you meet anyone of our team and they are not nice please tell us. If we have customers who are not nice feel free to tell them! I hope you liked your visit to Pig and Pallet and you get what we are about, but please be nice and have fun.
