Dear Victor, All the staff of Palacio Borghese is concerned about the situation you exposed because all of them made their best effort to make your stay as good as possible. You mentioned that the service was incredible and all the staff was kindly all the time, that you enjoyed your daily breakfast and that even in the early morning when you left for a tour around 5 am they provided you with fresh fruit, coffee and bread. Thank you for saying that the hotel is well located and very near to the main restaurants, stores and crafts, etc. Regarding the situation about your wallet, indeed you called us from the airport saying that there were missing 100 dlls from your wallet and it was informed to you that we would notify the supervisor about the situation, we asked you to call us back after his day off but we never received your call. As you mentioned your wallet wasn´t in the safe box of your room, we put the boxes in each room to serve as a way to guard the value things of our guests, we can not be responsible for any value thing out of the safe boxes and much less for the personal wallet of each guest. In the other hand, the 100 dlls may have fallen from your wallet in the taxi when you paid the service or in any other site where you had pay something else. We have checked the cameras system from the hotel and the only people who entered to your room were the 2 housekeeping ladies. When you noticed you were missing money you where already out of the hotel, what hotel in the world could be responsible for the personal wallet of each guest? We are sorry for your lost, but as we already told you on the phone, we can not refund the money you said you missed because how can you prove us how many money you had in your wallet? We consider that each traveler must be daily careful with their money and not make others responsible for their personal belongings. Each guest leaves every day to the streets, shopping in stores and going to restaurants, all of this under their responsibility. The house keeping ladies felt really hurt about your comment because they made their best job and they consider that it is not fair to acuse them without having evidence, specially because in the videos they are the only ones that entered the room. We inform you that even in the hotel as security measures in case some guest for some reason can't open the door of his safe, we have a document in which the guest give us the authorization to open his safe that's why a member of our staff goes with him and with a witness and that document is signed for the three people the guest the person who opened the safe and the witness who was in the moment he opened the safe and we save that document for any clarification in the future. Cordially Manuel Lòpez Ramos Director Palacio Borghese
