You are right that the autumn colours are breathtaking at the moment, it really is a wonderful time of year. You could consider coming in May which is also a lovely month for the arboretum. I am not sure which room you were in as you mention a spiral staircase, which we don't have at the hotel. Do come again, it would be a pleasure to welcome you back to West Lodge Park in the future.
