From Review : A nice luxury resort which can do with some improvements. of Pethers Rainforest Retreat
The continental breakfast package we ordered each morning was adequate for our needs without being spectacular. Also included was two slices of bread and two small frittatas. We thought it could have been enhanced by including some ham and cheese and some pieces of fruit.
One pleasant pastime for us was to enjoy a drink or two on the verandah of the unit overlooking the rainforest and to have our breakfast there.
The bathroom was basic but adequate for our needs.
The units have very high ceilings and wall to wall windows showcasing the surrounding rainforest vegetation.
The fact that there is a spa bath adjacent to the bed is an obvious attraction .
The bed was most comfortable and the place was kept very clean throughout our stay.

Hi Geoff, Thank you for your detailed feedback. This is an incisive review and I would commend it to readers, both for the positive and negative aspects mentioned. I'll leave readers to enjoy the positive aspects and just comment on the couple of negative points you mentioned. I have re-emphasised with our Team to remind guests of the stair between the lounge and the sleeping area. Although very well lit, you are absolutely correct that guests need to be careful. You were very unlucky with the spa and I do apologise again for that. We are now in the process of checking and servicing all spas to make sure that does not recur. Our rainforest restaurant is one of the highlights of staying at Pethers - both the setting and the food. I am delighted to report that the restaurant is now open 5 nights a week which has proved much more popular than room service. The very heavy storms shortly before you arrived had made a bit of a mess of our little rainforest creek walk. That has also now been seen to, although generally we do encourage guests to walk on one of the recognised bush walk tracks on Tamborine Mountain. Thank you again and hope to see you back in the future.
