    Bembridge RNLI Lifeboat Station is situated at the eastern end of the Isle of Wight. There is a IWC Car Park adjacent. Except over Christmas, the Offshore Boathouse & Shop are open to visitors every day from 2pm - 4pm and from 11am to 4pm during school half terms, the Easter holidays and from 30th June to 28th October. When we are open there is always a Visitors guide in the Offshore Boathouse to assist & answer questions. We regularly launch for training on a Tuesday evening (7pm) - check our website to see when the next training launch will be and do come down to the Offshore Boathouse to watch if you are around. Sadly the Lifeboat View Cafe (no connection to Bembridge RNLI) was demolished in early September 2018 and although hopefully will eventually be replaced, this has yet to happen. A temporary Cafe (Archies) was open on the edge of the Car Park over the summer.

    Seeing a 42 ton boat hit the water at 30 knots with a spring low tide was really very special. This was a special fund raising event which attracted over 100 hundred people. The commentary was excellent and the shear spectacle of the launch from this landmark facility was exceptional. Hopefully the contributions raised will go some way towards funding... More
