Nestled inside a giant ship-shaped building, the Titanic Museum tells the story of the RMS Titanic’s fatal maiden voyage in 1912. Upon arrival, receive a boarding pass—of an actual crew member or passenger who was onboard the ship—from a costumed staff member; and discover his or her fate at the end of your visit. Here, you can take a photo on the Grand Staircase, explore the galleries, sit in a lifeboat, touch an iceberg, and view over 400 actual historic artifacts recovered from the ship. Don’t leave without seeing the world’s largest LEGO Titanic replica, which is built to scale using 56,000 bricks.

    Titanic
We enjoyed every moment of the museum tour. The tour and its personalized speakers that you may select and listen to made the journey on the titanic come to life. Feeling the water and cool breeze aboard the ship made us feel the power of the ocean. We could truly feel the sadness of the wreckage. We learned so much. Each of us got a ticket aboard the ship and got to find out at the end if we survived. It was a learning experience for all of us!

    Sobering and deeply moving.
This is a must see for titanic nuts. Walk the corridors of the ship. Climb the famous staircase by the clock. Take in the history, what happened and how. Feel the icy chill that night and soak up this immensely tragic story. Brits, take a pinch of salt with you! It’s really worth the visit. It’s really immersive. Educational and deeply moving.

A definite must see if a Titanic fan
The Titanic museum was a excellent place to visit. You start and get a boarding pass of one of the passengers and see if they lived or perished. The self guided tour was very educational. There is displays and artifacts that were floating on the water from the Titanic. Easiest way to get tickets is on the cell pone. You still have to wait in a line to use a computer anyway to get tickets.

One of the best museums I’ve ever visited
This turned out to be one of the most moving, comprehensive museums I’ve been to. The museum allows entry based on reserved time slots, but once you’re in you can take as much time as needed to see everything. The artifacts, pictures, placards, tell the story of the Titanic from multiple different perspectives…from the people who designed and built it, the crew, and the passenger experience for all 3 classes (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). There are still new artifacts being discovered. The Titanic did not go straight from Southampton England to the open ocean towards the U.S. It turns out the ship went from England to France, then to Ireland before heading into the open ocean. There was a priest who got on in England, then got off in Ireland. He took thousands of pictures of the ship, passengers, etc. Some of the pictures were published at the time but most of the negatives were stored in a trunk. When he died, the trunk was left undisturbed until its rediscovery in the 1980s, and thousands of never before seen photos were published. There was a unique display of a massive replica of the Titanic made by a young person with autism. In addition, there is a video raising awareness of autism. Another striking experience was a room recreating the deck at night, stars shining, then containers over the railing containing water at 28 degrees and you’re encouraged to put your hand in to feel how cold it was. It’s one thing to know in your mind it was cold, but another thing altogether to get the tactile experience of having a part of your body submerged in it. There is so much more to tell but I’m running out of space! Just GO!

    Fun and Educational
We loved our visit to the Titanic museum. It was a little slow getting in because of how they do the timed entry but it also helped limit the crowds in each room. Before you enter you get assigned to be a person that was actually on the Titanic and then at the end you find out if your person survived or not. They have alot of artifacts that were on the Titanic. My kids are 8 and 11. They enjoyed the interactive exhibits the most. They liked trying to walk to ship deck and the different angles as the ship was sinking and trying to steer the ship to avoid the iceberg the best. Other things we enjoyed was pretending to shovel coal and feeling how cold the water was where the Titanic sunk. One of the employees was doing a virtual field trip for a school class while we were there and my kids helped do some demonstrations, this is one of their favorite memories from the museum.

    The titanic is always great
I’ve been to 3 titanic museums and I have to say this one isn’t the best but it was still great. I felt more rushed at this location vs the other 2 locations (Orlando and Las Vegas). This also was a self guided tour and Orlando offers a guided tour with more information. This museum still had a lot of interesting things to see and read and I’m glad we went.

    Great Vow renewal!!!
My wife and I went to the Titanic to renew our vows on the 40th anniversary. The staff was all wonderful, our officiant was Capt Campbell and Nathan coordinated our experience and took photos for us. Everything was 5 star. The only issue we had was the professional photographer who did not get good photographs. The staircase was in low light, and I don't think she was experienced in shooting. The pictures she took came out muddy and slightly out of focus. Fortunately Nathan took great photos, and many of them so if one picture didn't come out we had several more to pic from. Captain Campbell was a fantastic officiant, he had just celebrated 50 years. I really understood what it meant to us. All in all - a great experience for us!
