- bachgroup91 contributionOur 9-person Bachelorette Group had a really great afternoon at Belle Meade Winery. We just got grounds admission, which included a wine tasting of 4 wines. All were pretty tasty! I especially liked the blackberry one. We then purchased a couple bottles and sat down in a shaded patio area outside. We then walked around and said hi to two visiting horses and took some photos on the beautiful grounds. There were lots of cute areas to get some good photos. We then headed to the cafe area to get some charcuterie boards and finish the rest of our wine in a different covered area. It was nice that there were so many shaded places to rest/eat/enjoy our wine since it was sunny and 84 degrees the day we went. We all had a great time and the staff was extremely friendly. They also were very responsive to a few emails I sent with questions beforehand. All in all a 10/10 experience!Visited April 2024Written April 20, 2024
- MarianneNaperville, Illinois1,030 contributionsUpon a recommendation, I booked the Wine, Bourbon & Food Pairing tasting at this historic plantation. So glad we took that advice. We checked in at the visitors center and then proceeded to a location outside to meet someone who took us to the 2nd floor of another building to a beautiful room with a table set for our group. Our sommelier & bourbon expert Laura was fantastic. She really guided us through how to taste, what food pairing went with the wine and why it was paired with a particular wine. The food was fantastic as well. The chef at Belle Meade made delicious little bites We finished with the tasting with a bourbon cocktail. Laura was so informative about the plantation, the wines and the bourbon. She impressed me with her knowledge in all areas. We had a great time at this tasting. It was nice to do something different than bar hopping on Broadway. I recommend this food pairing tasting.Visited October 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten October 18, 2024
- SandraAl316 contributionsWe toured the mansion and the grounds and enjoyed it. As a horse enthusiast was nice to learn that so many of the winning thoroughbreds were born and trained here, including Secretariat. Particularly noteworthy was the slave who really was the one responsible for the horses and is buried close to the mausoleum. As we were there in the a.m. we did not try the wine tasting but did have lunch there and enjoyed beautiful live music.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 8, 2024
- Tracy G33 contributionsWe chose the paired wine and small bites tour. Excellent choice and our sommelier Macon was so delightful. Honestly, the small plates were some of the best we have ever had and the wine is average, but with a lovely history of how they can produce wine based on historical precedent. Our tickets allowed us to walk the entire property - shade, breezes, horses grazing and much history. Some of the history is troubled as the original owners owned slaves. The history markers are well done. Easy to Uber there and back to downtown NashvilleVisited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 14, 2024
- SusanVM737 contributionsMaybe not as well known as some things I Nashville, Belle Meade is very worth a visit. We enjoyed touring the mansion and hearing the story of the families that lived there. It was once one of the most important stud farms in the US for race horses before the racing focus shifted to Kentucky. Most of todays derby winners are of the blood line from Belle Meade prize stud, Bonnie Scotland. Fascinating story.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 21, 2024
- CorcinoTexas Gulf Coast, Texas3 contributionsWe did the wine pairing and mansion tours (these must be purchased separately). Our sommelier did a wonderful job of educating us, and we were able to taste some very delicious wines; after the tasting, we made a purchase of several bottles. The mansion tour is so educational and enjoyable. Our docent knew the history of the house and was able to share such interesting stories with us. They have added two new things to the grounds since my last visit: the ice cream shop and bourbon tastings. We didn't have time to partake in either of these, but we will be sure to visit again. The grounds are beautiful, and this is a WONDERFUL way to spend the day. I highly recommend a visit.Visited March 2024Written March 25, 2024
- Patty L2 contributionsWe really enjoyed the tour of the mansion. We weren't able to arrive earlier than our 4 o'clock tour time, so by the time the tour ended there wasn't much time to see anything else. It would be great if the shops were open until 6 o'clock or so, that way after the last tour, folks would be able to enjoy the shops and grounds. Just a thought.Visited March 2024Written March 25, 2024
- HeyMom615Hermitage, Tennessee1 contributionWe frequent this property a lot with our 5 and 3 year old. I love how kid friendly it is already and this time we rented the adventure backpack ($15). Oh my goodness, our kids had a blast finding the treasure chests around property and learning about the things inside. So fun. So educational. Would be a great activity for elementary homeschool kids! Top it all off with ending the day at the Coop N Scoop for ice cream and your kids will be saying “best day ever!”.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 20, 2024
- hayleyisatravelingPocatello, Idaho1 contributionMy husband and I vacationed in Nashville and I was determined to visit a winery. A quick google search landed me with Belle Meade and let me tell you it was the best decision! I booked a wine and bourbon tasting for us. We arrived and were stunned at the spring beauty of the facility. We walked around the gift shop and the carriage barn and learned some great history prior to our tasting. Our tasting was by far the best experience. We had wonderful drinks and food. Our wine expert, Laura, was so great and knowledgeable. She was kind and answered all of our questions. We learned a lot about bourbon and wine. After the tasting we decided to book the Mansion Tour, it was incredible! After that we continued to walk all around the beautiful grounds. All the staff we met were so wonderful. Long story short….go there!Visited March 2024Written March 26, 2024
- Brett PChino Hills, California69 contributionsWe selected this historic distillery and winery because we thought it might be interesting …….. we were NOT disappointed! The grounds and historic structures are truly incredible. The history of this former plantation is fascinating. It’s all beautiful. We did the Bourbon experience. It was really a treat. Our tour guide was Maddie. She was fun and full of information. The bourbon cocktails were really really exceptional. The bourbon was so good. We could have sat in the Icehouse for hours. It was memorable!!!!Visited December 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten December 24, 2024

- Ryman Auditorium HotelsWhen you walk through the doors of historic Ryman Auditorium, one thing becomes clear right away: this isn’t just another nightly music venue, and it’s so much more than a daytime tourist stop. This place is hallowed ground. This is the exact spot where bluegrass was born—where Johnny Cash met June Carter, where souls were saved and a slice of history was nearly lost. It was right here that country music found an audience beyond its own back porch, and countless careers took off as deals were signed on napkins and paper scraps backstage. Open daily for tours and shows, right in the heart of Music City.Read more
