We took our daughter on her 9th birthday. She has never been on a horse and was a little scared at first. One of the wranglers helped her overcome her fears pretty quickly and my daughter had a great time! We did the hour long ride. The horses are very gentle and well-trained to follow one another along the path. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We saw so many deer along the trail. It was peaceful. Worth the money!

This place is amazing and a family favorite any time of year! This is our second visit to Stony Lake and we enjoyed a beautiful day with the horses. The staff are incredible and very helpful for anyone who isn't familiar with horses. The trail is gorgeous and we enjoyed the beautiful fall colors. Another bonus, the adorable and cuddly barn cats. You can't go wrong riding here! Amazing family business. Ride goes thru the woods so it's shaded. Horses are well cared for and guides are fun and make sure everyone is safe no matter what ur riding experience is. Book with them, u won't regret it!

We took our granddaughters, ages 8 and 11, horseback riding at Stony Lake while on vacation in the Muskegon area. They loved it! The wranglers were very knowledgeable and safety was foremost in their minds. It was a beautiful ridge through a forest with many deer sightings. I would definitely go back!

Our ride with Stony was incredible! The staff was friendly and made us feel safe and comfortable, especially our guide, Noah. The horses appeared to be well loved and cared for. This was a vacation stop for us but if we are back in the area, we will visit again!!

My daughters and I have ridden here every summer as part of our vacation for several years now. The staff members are friendly, capable and make the experience fun. The horses are all well taken care of and the staff makes a point to match the horse to the rider's ability. It is a beautiful area to ride in- woods and fields, much of it shaded. There are deer on the property- beautiful to watch.

The horses are so well trained and the staff are very friendly and helpful. In our group, we had experienced riders and first time riders. Everyone had a memorable time. The hour long ride was through a shady forest, which was perfect on a hot day. It was wonderful and we want to go again.

We have been coming to Stony Lake Stables for many years and are always rewarded with a great fun ride and quality horse time. The staff are knowledgeable and patient and will instruct a new rider well. The trails are beautiful and largely shaded and you are likely to see deer, turkeys and other wildlife. They have horses to suit any rider's ability and all are well-behaved. After the ride you are free to pet the horses and feed them with the available food pellets. We brought along two grandkids under 1, not to ride but to see their first horses up close, and it was a lot of fun. I highly recommend Stony Lake Stables for an affordable family adventure.
