Batter up! It takes a special place to craft the #1 Bat in Major League Baseball. At Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, experience history-in-the-making as you stroll through the actual factory where world-famous Louisville Slugger bats are created. The award-winning factory tour is a highlight of the visit here, but there's plenty more to enjoy along with it. Admire the World's Biggest Bat - stretching 120 feet into the sky. Hold bats actually used by baseball superstars like Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Cal Ripken Jr. And Derek Jeter. Face down a 90-mph fastball hurled by a major league pitcher. Count the homerun notches Babe Ruth carved into his Louisville Slugger bat for every home run he hit with it. Step into the batting cages and take some swings with a replica model of your hero's bat. Guests even get a free miniature souvenir bat at the end of the factory tour. You can even create a bat with your own name on it, just like the pros. Tip and Recommendation
*Tip: They recommend you place your order for a personalized bat before the tour, BUT if you do that, you might not realize the name you are putting on it should be in script font to make it more authentic. I didn’t. I put the name in block and the inscription in script, and I’m pretty sad about it. Other than that, interesting tour and very kind guides. Would definitely recommend.

Provided cute wood bats to tours.
Yes, worth to visit it. We really enjoyed it so much for both factory and museum. They provided all tours to get very cute small wood bats. We love them. More interesting about history of baseball.

Really cool history of how the Louisville slugger bats are made
This is a must see for true baseball fans. You have an opportunity to hold the bats of some of their most famous players. You also get the opportunity to watch the bats being made and are given a souvenir mini bat as you leave. The trip was fun for the entire family. The only thing that I wished were that the tours were longer. You're shuffled through the facility fairly quickly, so you don't get to spend much time at each station and the tours are pretty full, so getting time to get up to the machines, etc.. is limited.

    Great Museum
Great museum. It took about 90 minutes to do it all, and that includes a 20 minute tour that leaves every five minutes (at least in the summer). The tours leave all the way up until closing, but if you’re on the last tour then that will be the last thing you do. Give yourself time and make sure to check out the Bat Vault which was previously closed to visitors before April. Overall, recommended.

The Factory Tour is a MUST
If you are a baseball fan, or just like to see what happens behind the scenes, the factory tour is a must see. We ordered our tickets online. There is no discount when you order your tickets online, but you can select the time that you would like to take the tour to ensure that your entire party can see the tour at the same time. The employees do check the date and time on your tickets so you cannot sneak in if you arrive early. Before and after the tour, you can check out their exhibits and watch their demonstrations. The tour itself lasts 90 minutes and you learn so much – from the different types of wood used, how the bats are painted, etc. During the tour, you are allowed to take pictures and you are encouraged to ask questions. At the end of the tour, you receive a complimentary mini-bat. It is recommended that you arrive fifteen minutes early for your tour. If you miss it, you may be re-scheduled for the next tour- if there is availability. There is no specific parking lot or garage for this attraction. There are, however, unattended parking lots where you can park for a fee.

So cool to see a family owned company from the 1800’s still in operation! We learned so much about bat making, I had no idea it was so involved! From the type of wood used, to the weight and dimensions! Incredible that players can order 100+ of the exact same bat. We truly enjoyed all the player histories too!

Greater appreciation of the history of Louisville Slugger
Great experience for baseball lovers, and those more lighthearted fans of baseball. The history of baseball and key people that shaped the baseball bat manufacturing is a real treat. We even hit the batting cage on site after the tour of the factory and the museum.

Interactive experience -- Great for kids and baseball lovers!
Great tour, easy to book. tons of history! Great for kids and baseball lovers. It was fun even for someone who doesn't know much about baseball. You can tell the workers take pride in what they do. The factory was clean and it was so neat to get the mini bat at the end of the tour. I highly suggest checking this out if you are in town.

    Well with the visit
A great insight into the history of bat making and how they are still made today. The tour was informative and very interesting. The free mini bat at the end of the tour is a great memento. We really enjoyed the tour and it is good value for money.
