As others have mentioned, the ticket buying process is kind of unorganized. You buy tickets in the gift shop, that you get to from the parking lot. So people are lined up into the parking lot to get a ticket. It’s around $25 per person, which is overpriced for what you get. They give you a map, but the signs and trails can tend to be a little confusing. There were empty cages at times and some of the windows were fogged or dirty to the point of not being able to see animals. The alligator cage right when you walk in so packed with some crawling on top of each other. The petting zoo is like 5 goats running around and some caged chickens. There is a pig and 2 emus that are “part” of the petting zoo, but they are just back inside the cage and you can’t really see them. The park needs updated. It’s surprising that with the admissions fees they have not really seemed to update it. There was a lookout tower that had caution tape blocking the stairs.

We thought there was a very good selection of birds, reptiles, flamingos and more in a natural setting that was well maintained. The shows were entertaining and the parrots were “talkative “. However, some small changes would take the frustration out of the experience and makes you think no one pays attention. Your first frustration is the parking lot where you have lines of people and children waiting in the heat to get in. If you are coming into that crowd there is nothing about online ticket purchases and, in our experience, everyone in line says there is nothing for those that purchased in advance. They had 3 people working the registers and when asked, they said the register to the left handled online purchases. There are no markings inside or out and a small investment, signs, etc., could not only thin out the line but keep people from being held up. The next item is signage through the park. Everyone does this better. Exit signs, signs to the pavilion and more would help. A high school student could do better.

This was a family trip to Florida and we found the Jungle to be interesting. The flamingos are beautiful and amazing to watch. The goats in the petting zoo were dog like. (Loved their heads scratched) we watched the bird show which was interesting and Alan did a nice job of educating on the birds. The admission price and $20 for the feed/bag was a little steep for the size of the park. This is a one time stop on vacation, box checked. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Recommend everyone visit once.

Go feed the flamingos as soon as this place opens. That way they aren’t full and sick of people. Another highlight was the bird show. Nicely done and entertaining. But overall, the place is run down. We saw rats eating out of a parrot feeding dish inside the reptile house. The parrots kept pecking the rats on their heads to drive them away. That was disgusting. If they made sure their animal exhibits were in as good condition as their gift shop, this place would be great

You can tell the zoo was recently renovated. It’s dry clean. The bricks walks and wooden fencing are very nice. The flora beside the walkways is very lush. Unfortunately, it was a very cool day when we were there, so many of the animals were not on display. The man who put on the shows was very entertaining. The flamingos were pretty cool!

This one tour was a little hard for us to rate. We have had almost all of these animals in our lifetime at some point. So they were not new to us but just the Flamingos alone is a reason to go and buy the "feed". We spent most of our time just watching the birds and that was our highlight. I do think younger families really will get a lot out of this Jungle area and it is very interactive. They don't give a senior discount which would be nice and we would consider going back but not for full price. They have a nice gift shop and lots of things to purchase. The food court was closed at the time we were there. Very glad we went.

Always a great day! Definitely look up promo codes online. There is an online ticket desk check in. Saves you in line. Fav tip... flamingos are full and sleepy by the end of the day. Early is the best time to experience the hungry roaming flamingos.

Every year we come down to Sarasota for our family vacation from Buffalo and the Jungle Gardens is always a must stop for our family. There is nothing better than waking up and feeding he flamingos by hand. Its a growing park so no two trips are going to be exactly the same. Allen and his team put on wonderful shows that are not only educational but fun at the same time. You get to know not only his team but his animals and look forward to them every visit. Our family looks forward to seeing this garden grow and exchange lifelong memories. Keep up the good work.

Our family has gone here several times when we've visited our daughter in college. We really enjoy all the exhibits and shows. Of course our favorite is the flamingos that follow you around and that you can feed. Last time we came we got our son with autism to try feeding them. He was scared but we were successful by holding our hand under his. We got some really funny pictures and videos. The path behind the flamingos is really cool. I love all the trees and greenery, especially coming from Vegas. I was just recommending your business to someone on the plane today!

We brought the grandkids here since we weren't getting beach days. (too cold). They ranged in age from 21-11. All of them had fun. We really enjoyed the bird show and getting to hold a little alligator. Feeding the flamingos was the absolute highlight! (50 cents for a handful of food.) We were disappointed that the reptile building wasn't open.
