    I feel younger
We enjoyed the many things to see here. We drank from the Fountain of Youth and took pics. We took pics with many peacocks. It was mating season so they had their tail feathers out. You can feed the peacocks right from your hand. We enjoyed the gift shop, the look out tower, the BBQ out front, the history, the mission chapel. It was a hot day but there were many places to sit in the shade and cool off. On hot days we do recommend going first thing in the morning....don't wait until 12-3. We parked at stop #1, then walked to the fountain of youth and then afterwards got on the trolley tour for the first 14 stops. (We already had purchased our trolley passes the day before.). Oh, the water doesn't taste good at all, but fortunately it made me younger.

Family and friend vacation to St. Augustine
This visit to the Fountain of Youth was completely unexpected. I was told this was a self guided tour. However there is a tour guide at each park station and you receive true educational and live experiences. The history we learned today was so impactful for me and my family. I highly recommend you visit the fountain of youth and bring your kids. Our children were around 9-10. They truly enjoyed every station.
Thank you for visiting with us!

    Beautiful Grounds
We stopped here on our hop on/hop off tour. We viewed the Fountain of Youth and watched the presentation in the globe. The grounds are very beautiful, and the peacocks are all around. We enjoyed watching them. We didn't see where there were many demonstrations, I did notice a couple of employees dressed in costumes. It was extremely hot the day we were there so we didn't spend a lot of time, as some of the areas were directly in the sun. This just wasn't our cup of tea, but definitely read other reviews and look at the photos to see if it might be yours. FOYexplorer, please do not take offense to this review as you have others. This is simply our take on our visit.
We appreciate your candor, and that you shared that the heat kept you away from the living history demonstration areas. We agree...this summer is off to a wickedly hot start! Thank you for encouraging readers to look at our information and at others' reviews... your honesty and kindness are very appreciated. We hope that you will visit again when the weather is not so fierce. We know you will enjoy your time with us!

Interesting Stop - More than just Water! Park Laid Out Well.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Fountain of Youth Park Experience. The admission price at $20 per adult does seem a bit hefty and a bit more than I would think, but I did enjoy the experience. The park is laid out well and is easy to stroll through the grounds/exhibits. The first exhibit up is the fountain of youth itself which then moves on to a planetarium showing how ships used stars to navigate, an exhibit on archaeological finds and memorial, plants native to Florida walkway, blacksmith exhibit showing tools of the 1500-1600's, ship weaponry and cannon displays, viewing tower, archeology dig exhibit and a few more. Peacocks roamed the grounds/area as well and are beautiful to view. The grounds also have random historical ship items such as anchors, cannons as well as other Indian artifacts used during the time period. Of particular note most of the stations had "show" or short guided talk about the topic which were well done for a couple reasons. 1. The people leading were well educated on topics and had a good energy 2. The sessions were informative, entertaining and fairly short (did not run on forever!) 3. Well timed - as you strolled the park/path and arrived at next area within minutes the "show" starting. No going back and forth to exhibits - trying to figure out timing or anything. Just very well done. Enjoyed the stop and now that I've sampled the water will have plenty of years to return another time.
We are so glad you visited with us, and we appreciate the time you spent sharing your experience! We look forward to your next visit.

Good fun and interesting but not a must-do
There was a lot more to this park than just the Fountain of Youth so we were pleasantly surprised. There were multiple attractions, demonstrations and exhibits that we enjoyed. We particularly enjoyed the discovery globe and the peacocks. It does have a bit of a retro roadside attraction vibe which I don't mind but the ticket price is a bit steep at the same time.

    Alot of Fun!!!
My husband and I visited St. Augustine for the first time but it definitely won't be the last. This park was amazing and so much fun to walk through. It was pretty hot but if that bothers you, you should definitely go in the fall. We had an amazing time and their gift shop is amazing as well.

    Don't drink the water
We had a good time wandering through the park. We spoke with a blacksmith, watched a real musket being fired, and a cannon fired. Very interesting. The only downside was the "Fountain of Youth" water. It tasted/smelled like chlorinated pond water. I am sure that it does not come from a spring ( would they let you drink it, if it were?). That is fine with me. However, use the city water, run it through a commercial filter, chill it down to 60 degrees, then it would be a delightful experience.

    A must see!
A must see tourist stop! It was sort of costly considering what’s there to see but since we were vacationing we paid to do it, we sipped water from the fountain. Photos ops throughout. It was a beautiful day so it was nice to walk the grounds all the way out to the water. We enjoyed it,

    Interesting and well kept.
Very nice park and historic site. It is quite large so wear walking shoes. There is a tower to climb to overlook the area and a boardwalk out into the water area. There are reenactments of musket shooting and a few other activities. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful especially the restaurant staff! There are beautiful peacocks everywhere! The giftshop has T-shirts that say, "I drank the water" which we found hilarious!
