I didn’t expect much when I decided to visit the venue. It turned out to be amazing! First of all, there are so many animals! Birds and squirrels. The place is also very quiet and calming, perfect for a morning stroll. Second, it’s huge and so green. It’s a great escape from busy and polluted New Delhi. Third, it has historical aspects. You can find several tombs and mosques from the Lodhi Dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate. You can see its great architecture and how the sultanate influenced India today. Try to visit this place when you come to Delhi.

I was probably there too early at 7.30am. It was very foggy / polluted yet people were running and doing yoga. Good if you want see a few old buildings, yet not the most impressive. Contrary to what I read in a few blogs, the tour can be done in 30-45min. No need 2h to see this place

We visited two entrances of this park. On one side it has a beautiful heart-shaped arch and cascading bougainvilleas. It’s a very romantic place to take some pictures. There are several tombs there as well, which provide some photography opportunities. There were many monkey babies playing around as well as hawks, chipmunks and other animals and birds. It’s a great free place to relax.

I really enjoyed my 2 hours walking around this park. I took bus 522 from Gole Market, which is convenient if you stay near Connaught Place. The bus stops right in front of one of the entrances to the park. The park is dotted with old buildings and tombs. It's quiet and peaceful, and there is a wonderful bird life there too. A highlight of Delhi.

I loved the LodhibGardens, a cool and tranquil oasis in the heart of heaving teeming Delhi. The gardens are free to enter and offers lovely, shaded, leafy paths through the beautifully tended flowers, shrubs and trees. There's a peaceful lake too. Another highlight was the beatiful mausoleum and mosque that face each other at one end of the park and the huge red bricked Fort at the other. I had a wonderful hour or so just wandering and relaxing here on my first day in Delhi, a great introduction to the city's charms.

Surprisingly, this park is free - and also surprisingly, it was not overly crowded (although it was a weekday, which was likely a factor). It is nicely landscaped, and a great place to wander. As with many Indian parks, there are tombs scattered throughout the park, and there is also a small lake. If you are lucky, you may see a couple getting there wedding pictures taken, as it seems to be a favourite spot for that. There are a few wild dogs roaming around, and some monkey packs, but if you keep your distance they are not troublesome. It was fun to watch several Indian extended families on an outing (especially the grandparents enjoying being with their grandchildren). If I were to return, I would do a bit of research first, as the tombs all have some history associated with them, and there are no explanatory plaques.
