    Very enjoyable experience at LBJ
Truly historic museum once you see all the history and transformative events which took place during career of LBJ. Wonderfully organized exhibit, parking, location, views, etc…. It’s so good that we have visited it multiple times.

    Very educational.
We enjoy history and have visited a few Presidential libraries. This one doesn't flow as well as some others-it seemed to jump around the dates a lot, and there seemed to be a lot more focus on the First Lady than in other museums. We did learn a great deal about LBJ, and that was our goal-he accomplished a lot in his term in the White House, much of which is overlooked due to the Vietnam focus. I very much enjoyed seeing the replica of the Oval Office, with LBJ's personal desk and rocking chair.
Hi - thank you for your feedback! Although we do love Lady Bird, her exhibit is a temporary one which we change out over time. So, typically we do not have as much focus on the First Lady as President Johnson. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the replica of the Oval Office - it's one of our favorites too! Hope to see you again soon!

LBJ’s love letters to Lady Bird
My wife and I visited the LBJ Presidential Library with a group during a business conference in Austin this past February. We had a special presentation about LBJ’s love letters to Lady Bird. It was surprising to me because I had never seen that side of LBJ before. The library was very interesting to see the old photos from LBJ and Lady Bird’s past. The library is well worth visiting when in Austin.
Hi - thank you for your comments! We're glad to hear you enjoyed learning about President Johnson's romantic side - he was a man of many traits. Hope to see you back soon!

Beautiful tribute to the Johnson era . Lots of beautiful pieces from their time in the white and I loved Lady Birds dresses on exhibit. Since I was a small child when he was president I learned more about what his agenda was about.
Hi - thank you for your comments. We're glad to see you enjoyed our Lady Bird exhibit and her wide variety of wardrobes. Come back again soon!

A must-visit building hosting insights on an important era of the US history
The LBJ Presidential Library is a fantastic place to learn more about LBJ and Lady Bird. Exhibitions are well done--mix between lots of artifacts, readings, and multimedia displays. The Oval Office and First Lady office replicas were really neat. I learned a lot with visiting the permanent exhibit, and I would encourage anybody to visit and get more familiar with that important time in the US history.
Hello - thank you for visiting the LBJ Library and leaving some comments! We pride ourselves in telling the story of the '60s and the impact LBJ's presidency had on that decade. Come back again soon!

    A must-see in Austin
A wonderful resource for those of us who were too young to understand this era while it happened. I enjoyed the joint focus on Lady Bird and her active involvement in President Johnson’s career. (Plus, the library provides a cool break when it’s 108 in Austin.)
Hello - thanks for stopping by! We love to hear you had such a wonderful experience at the LBJ Library and enjoyed our Lady Bird exhibit. We also think our AC is pretty great as well - see you again soon!

    LBJ Library
I loved the LBJ Library. I learned a lot of things that I had no idea about like how lady bird help with our communities. It’s good to know that a fellow Texan helped build our community and someone that was higher up in society, to be able to influence other higher-ups to look at our communities and build help with our community.
Hi - thank you for your feedback and visiting the LBJ Library! We're glad to hear you enjoyed our Lady Bird exhibit and learned so much about a remarkable Texan icon. Hope you visit again soon!

An excellent memorial to an exceptional man
I only thought of President Johnson as the President who kept us in the Vietnam War. This library taught me of LBJ, a President who did incredible things to help the people of our nation. My opinion totally changed. The library has so much excellent information about LBJ. This is a must see when in Austin! On Tuesdays the entrance fees are half off . Great gift shops. Also, free parking!
Hi - thank you for visiting the LBJ Presidential Library and your generous comments! We pride ourselves on telling President Johnson's entire story, so it's great to hear how much you learned! Also, a great reminder for everyone that every Tuesday admission is half-priced. Hope to see you again soon!

    HIGHLY recommend
This was an exceptional museum. It is easy to navigate, beautiful and an amazing historical collection of an important period in our history. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly (even lending us a wheelchair for my mom to help her be more comfortable), the quality of the exhibits was exceptional, and I loved all the kids walking around with their polaroid cameras. I learned so much and have a new appreciation for all that LBJ did (beyond the Vietnam conflict). He and Lady Bird put so many social programs in place that continue to make this a great country.
Hi - thank you for visiting the LBJ Presidential Library! We're glad to hear you enjoyed our staff - they're the best! It sounds like you visited during Austin Museum Day where children took part in a photo scavenger hunt and admission was free - we hope you had a great time. See you again soon!

    Enjoyed the Museum
Enjoyed the museum. You could spend a few hours in here, as there is a lot of interactive exhibits, and much to learn, or just walk through, watch the film, and make it a shorter tour - whatever works for your timeframe. Not as great as some of the other Presidential Libraries we have seen, but we enjoyed it regardless. A lot to see and read, and a very nice building on a beautiful University of Texas campus. Free parking, and $10 admission. Well worth it.
