Hotels near The Marble Mountains

Discover the tunnels and grottoes within Thuy Son, the only one of the five Marble Mountains that’s open to travelers. Marvel at the Buddhist temples carved into the rock, then head to the hilltop overlook for awe-inspiring views of the city. Join a guided tour to learn more about the history of the mountains. To reach the summit, take the elevator or climb the stairs; if you choose to do the latter, be very careful as the marble steps tend to be slippery. Visit early in the morning or later in the day to escape the midday heat and beat the crowds. – Tripadvisor

    mountains of five elements
visited here again on 7 September, that time i had a one day trip, from Hue to Hoi An,the last stop was marble mountains. actually i been here before,in 2019, that time i went alone, and i took grab to marble mountains, that time,i had more time to explore, but this time,i joined a mini tour,so the time is limited, around one hour, a bit rush if compared to the first time. Marble Mountains is a group of five limestone peaks.they are named after the five elements. travellers mostly visit the water mountain,it is the biggest one. that time, i also visited water mountain, after buying ticket,i saw some statues and temples, visited linh ung pagoda also some caves, like Tang Chon cave ,Van thong cave and Huyen Khong cave, the latter is one of the most magnificent and largest caves in Marble Mountains. Due to its open and unique structure, the sunlight shines from the top of the cave on the Buddha statue, the scene is spectacular. Van thong cave is not big, but you can go through the small crevices of the cave to reach the top of Thuy Son mountain.you can admire part of Da Nang city here, nice view. i will come again next time, but wont joint a tour, need more time to explore this mountain.

    Hidden temple in a cave
This was a really nice place to visit. We did not know what to expect but was very surprised with the temple in the cave . It was like a scene from a movie. The view of Da Nang from the top of the mountain is also an added bonus. The elevator is the best option to reach the top.

Very informative trip to Marble mountains
We had visited the Marble mountain and the Monkey mountain on peak time during November. Our guide Luan (Lung) was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. We were able to learn so much about history of Vietnam and the beliefs of Vietnamese people. Importance of each and every monument and place was explained in detail to us. Thank you for a well organized and informative trip.

    Marble mountains
Amazing views, we did not have a tour guide, but it was still great. The pagodas are not well maintained, which is sad. Go earlier in the morning, as there are big tourist groups after that. There are lots of stairs to climb even if you take the elevator, so it is good if you are in good health. Bring water, sun protection and hiking shoes or at least comfortable sneakers.

Best day trip activity from Hoi An
Surprised this isn't higher rated on here, we thought it was one of the best things we did during our visit to Hoi An. Only 30 minutes drive away, this mountain complex houses some fantastic caves and shrines and beautiful gardens and walkways. Recommend taking the lift up to the top as there is plenty more walking and climbing to do when you get to the top. Aim to spend around 2 hours to see everything. So picturesque, we took plenty of photos, including great views from the top of the mountain.

    Nice an Interesting.
very interesting place, impressive the caves inside and the work done by locals. The usual tourist busy spot but worth the visit. Lots of walking and high steps going up. Definitely start your adventure by taking the elevator.

    Nice, but nothing very special
It was nice but not very special. A lot of stairs, sometimes a little bit slippery. There are several caves. Nice to walk in, have a quick look but nothing more than that. We have 2 kids in the age of 2 and 4. We took the elevator to go up and went with the stairs down.

Don’t have to be fit to enjoy ☺️
Well worth a trip if in the area. Yes, there are lots of steps, it is a mountain after all, but don’t let this put you off! I’m not fit and completed all the sections. Trainers advisable! The views are fantastic and the caves and pagodas, with all their marble statues, both fascinating and interesting. Came on a moped and the shop keepers want you to park there, they will chase you down the road, but this is normal for them! Pick one and park up, the fee is a drink after visiting, cost 60,000 (£1.95…not exactly horrific!), it’s how they earn money.

    Go early to Mountain
We were staying at Hoi An so hired a car & driver for 4 hours to take us to the marble Mountains and the Dragon Bridge. Can't remember how much but not expensive) We arrived at Marble Mountain at 8-25 and there were very few people there. We didn't bother with a guide or tour just walked around by ourselves. Little bit difficult to know from the map they give you which cave you were in but we managed to see everything including the view from the top (worth the steps) in just under 2 hrs. When we left at 10-25 the place was heaving and the car park full - so go early. Driver then took us to Dragon Bridge and the love bridge, couldn't get there at night but wanted to see it. Worth the visit as we were close by but prob not worth it otherwise. The whole thing took under 4 hours

  • Dragon Bridge Hotels
This 2,185-foot-long bridge shaped like an undulating golden dragon is the most famous bridge over the Han River in downtown Danang. On weekend nights, the dragon comes to life in quite an unusual way: the bridge is closed to traffic, and the massive dragon head on the east end of the bridge releases bursts of flames and water in a spectacular night show. Prepare to get wet if you stand on the bridge near the head. Otherwise, you can view the spectacle from the river bank along Tran Hung Dao Street or many of the nearby rooftop bars. The bridge is usually a stop on a night tour of Da Nang. – Tripadvisor

  • Golden Bridge Hotels
This striking bridge is one of the most photographed spots in Da Nang, located within Ba Na Hills. This 500-foot-long golden bridge appears to be cradled by two gigantic hands amidst the clouds. Get there early in the morning to snap a shot on the bridge without the crowds. It connects the hilltop cable car station to the stunning Paradise Gardens, and you can enjoy breathtaking views of the East Sea and the Annamite Mountains as you cross. Check out the bridge on a guided tour of Ba Na Hills from Da Nang or Hoi An—it usually includes the cable car ride, the French Village, and Fantasy Park as well. – Tripadvisor
