    Lovely views, pleasent walk!
Amazing views at the top and lovely walk! Multiple view points along the way if your willing to sacrifice the best view for a shorter walk. The walk didn't seem too long and is an easy marked path to walk, the view at the top is lovely and some good place for photos/selfies. Only down side is along the path boutanical gardens are marked but when you go to them it says no entry? But there not that far out the way so it didn't make a difference to the walk. Also wild cats along the side of the oath in certain places!!

Beautiful park. Very clean and good view. On one side harbour on other old town. Very safe place even in night hours. Center of city is in nearby vicinity. Great times...

Great views from a beautiful park
This is very much worth a visit as the scenery and views are beautiful. There are quite a few stairs to the top, but even if you only make it to the first viewpoint or a little beyond, it is worth it. Given all there is to see (botanical garden, zoo, playground, etc.) you could easily spend a half day or more on the hill. We unfortunately only had a few hours and spent it hiking around the park. If we return to Split, we’ll definitely spend more time exploring Marjan Park.

    The best place in Split
Gorgeous park! Located on a hill great for a walk or stroll with amazing views of the split, as well as the see. Very well organised with many interesting churches a zoo and a botanic garden. With some attractions for children and animal friendly. On the shore filled with beaches perfect to sunbathe and swim.

Worth the walk for the view
It's worth the walk up the steps to get the view over Split. There is a little cafe there which provides a nice setting for a drink with the panoramic view. Beyond that, I don't know that it's worth walking through the park. If you really enjoy walking, it's a nice enough trail, but there isn't really anything special about it and it is fairly uphill, even from the top of the stairs. If I had to do it again, I'd walk to the cafe, have a drink, and head back into the heart of Split.

    Wonderful Views of Split
The first part of the walk through the park is initially up several flights of steps next to the park information office on the west side of the Riva. At the top of the steps you reach the Teraca Vidilica where you can stop for a drink or enjoy lunch overlooking the harbour. Alternatively, there is a viewpoint where you can take in the views for free. If you continue up the hill you come to the little church of St. Nicholas and you can climb further or head inland through the shady pine forest trails. Wear sensible shoes and take plenty of water. There are plenty of shady places to rest but it does get very hot! Well worth the climb for the fabulous views across Split.

Thanks trip advisor . Great suggestion
Short of time in Split and this was one of the highlights . The number of steps is manageable with reasonable fitness but we went in June when the heat is not so intense . Lovely cafe with views at the top to stop and get your breath before you take the photos . It’s easy to find the start of the steps if you head back from the front at the opposite side of the bay to the port . Or google like we did . Enjoy !

    Worth the walk!
It's a very nice area with lots of wildlife surrounding you. The walk isn't too bad but it is a lot of steps so be prepared for that. But once you go up, it leads to a spectacular view of the city of Split. I would recommend highly for pictures and to see the city from a height.

    Amazing Views
Amazing views of split and the harbor. The stairs are well worth the view! There is a small church, a restaurant and the old Jewish Cemetery at the top. Signs pointed to a zoo but I did not explore that area. Great spot for pictures

Top beaches along the coast and a nice view at the peak
Walked up the many steps at high noon on a hot hot day, but the view was worth it! Then we took the public bus to take a look at all the beaches. We came back the next day to Bene beach as it has a lot of shade and a little resto/bar with a washroom. There are several beaches accessible by the bus (number 12), any of them would be good. The water in Croatia is AMAZING, crystal clear. Tips: - Get the Promet app for Split public transportation. With this app the bus fare is 1€ for 60 mins versus 3€. - Bring water shoes if you have them, but you can get away without them at Bene beach. - Bring toilet paper for the washroom as they don’t always have. - There are small changing blinds available, if you are more comfortable, they look like advertising and there are two changing “rooms” in the back side of them.

  • Bacvice Beach Hotels
A stone's throw away from Split's Old Town, this city beach may not be the most scenic, but is a convenient spot for a quick dip. It has sun loungers, water sports equipment, and a nice sandy beach with shallow waters—great for the kids to wade in. Its easy accessibility also makes it popular during summer, so get there early if you want to bag a good spot. Stay until sundown, then head to the many restaurants and nightclubs near the beach for dinner and drinks. Many city tours of Split will include a stop at Bacvice Beach. – Tripadvisor

  • Kasuni Beach Hotels
This quiet beach on the Marjan Peninsula is just a short bus ride from Split's Old Town and a quieter alternative to the popular Bacvice Beach. The crescent-shaped cove is surrounded by the tree-covered cliffs of Marjan Hill and the turquoise waters are clean and clear. Rent a sun lounger by the beach bar and admire the views, or simply lay out a beach towel on the pebbly beach. The shore has some rocky areas and sea urchins, so footwear is recommended. While you're in the area, you can check out the historic side of the peninsula and the walking trails of Marjan Hill on a day trip. – Tripadvisor
