    I recommend
4€/person return on the cable car. Sometimes there is an opportunity to get off the ride and, for example, go swimming in the swimming pool, admire the views and marvel at the small castle and the Japanese garden. Or you can continue straight to the top. The rest of the journey can be done on foot. At the very end, there are some stairs.

    Great experience at Parque Metropolitano
Great experience at Parque Metropolitano. I went on a Saturday afternoon, in the Chilean summer (Carnival period in Brazil). There is a ticket that allows you to use the cable car on the way up and the funicular on the way down (or vice versa), to get the full experience. The cable car gives you beautiful views of the city and the mountain range. The funicular is very peculiar, it looks like a means of transport brought from the last century (and it probably is), so it's worth it, even with the queues. At the top of the Cerro there is a sanctuary, with a charming stone and wooden church, ideal for giving thanks for the opportunity to travel and enjoy the good things in life.

Great way to spend a morning!
If you come to Santiago and miss this special place, you really have missed it. I suggest taking the funicular up the hill, making your way to the very moving and tasteful Santuario Immaculada Concepcion and attendant chapel, walking to the chair lift and taking it down to the midpoint, then walking to the Jardin Japones (Japanese garden). The garden is small, but pretty and romantic with several good photo spots. You should devote 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 hours to your visit.

Funicular and Cable Car with incredible views
The geographical location of the hills in Santiago is very interesting and worth seeing. The funicular and cable car transportation is incredible. I recommend at least half a day for anyone who wants to get to know the entire park by taking walks and seeing the zoo. For those who are short on time or unwell, it is also possible to just do the main tours and pass through the funicular and cable car stations. I tried the famous "Mote con huillos" but I didn't think it was anything special, it's worth a try but I wouldn't eat it again. When I went, the zoo was closed for maintenance so I couldn't visit it.

    View of amazing Sandiago
You can line up to take a tram or bus to the top, or do as we did and walk up. It wasn't because the trip was expensive or the line was long, but we love to hike so it was a no brainer for us. In several places along the route there were fantastic views, but nothing beats the view from the top. What a fantastic location Sandiago is located. Even though we were quite a few tourists at the top, there was no queuing to go to the toilet or get something cold to drink. There are several activities up there and you can take a cable car to another mountain peak, and several hiking routes. We chose another hiking route down, and will let others review the cable car and the HoHigh activity. Regardless, it's a must see gem

One of the best views of Santiago
The hill is huge and very high There is a lot to do and it is impossible to see it all in just one day. The view is spectacular, it is 360°. It's worth taking the funicular up and taking the cable car down (or vice versa), in both cases the views are beautiful but even more so from the cable car. You can go up and down on foot but it's quite difficult. If you want to go up one way and get down another way, buy a combined ticket. The price is very ok, it's really worth it.

    Watch the Sunset!
We took the funicular up here to watch the sunset and then walked down. Walking down in the dark was a little spooky, but it was worth it to have the view of the sunset. INCREDIBLE VIEWS! There were people upstairs selling snacks, hot food, ice cream, drinks, etc.

    Excellent view and gardens
Highly recommended to spend a few hours or even the day. There are several options for visiting nearby attractions in the package. We took the funicular and the cable car to go up and down the hill...you can do everything on foot or go up (or down) on foot too.

Contact with nature and panoramic views in the heart of the city
My opinion is about the Zorro Vidal pedestrian path that leads to the top of the hill: Very accessible place (you can walk or take the subway to a few blocks from the base) to do some hiking/trail running while being in the center of Santiago ( It is not the "Central neighborhood", but it is in the middle of the city: not on the outskirts) Access is free, right next to the Zoo, it begins on a paved vehicular road, and about 400-500 meters away, the pedestrian path itself begins: it is very steep (you climb about 800 meters in approximately 1.5 km of distance) . The path is dirt and stone, but nothing technical (many people also go up walking at their own pace). As you go up, you have beautiful views of different angles of the city, which are better enjoyed on a clear day (especially a sunny day after a rainy day, that is when it is clearer from the fog that usually exists otherwise). . As you reach the top, you first pass through a plaza, then through some stalls that sell "mote con huesillo" (a typical non-alcoholic drink: peach juice, wheat grains, and an "orejón"/dried peach), the sanctuary of the virgin, and finally the large image of the virgin with her arms open, which can be seen from afar before going up. Walking at a good pace or jogging gently, it doesn't take more than 60-90 minutes to get up and down. If you want to take a longer route, you can link with other trails (see the Bicentennial Park page) If you want to avoid the effort of going up, you can go up by funicular and walk down. You can enter the zoo at the base only on certain days, with free entry but with prior reservation on their website (see also the Bicentennial Park page)

    Stunning view
My family and I had an incredible experience at Cerro San Cristóbal! The panoramic view of the city of Santiago from the top of the hill is simply stunning. At the top is the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception. I recommend this attraction.
