I am a returning ex Kenyan resident who was many many times at the Centre. One can see the success story as the Centre has grown and modernized over the years. The entire group had smiles on their faces and enjoyed spending time with these beautiful creatures.

    lovely
A very popular place to see giraffes up close (and some that overlook them) and feed them. Early morning or late afternoon is best as giraffes seek shade in the middle of the day. Beautiful wooden nature trail area next door for walking.

A fun visit, especially on a weekday
I ended up visiting the Giraffe Center twice, on a Friday and on a Sunday. Weekends are a madhouse while weekdays are much calmer. The giraffes are endangered Rothschild's giraffes and the centre supports their reintroduction into the wild, so visiting was a fun way to support a good cause. On both visits, after washing hands thoroughly, we were given a small bowl of giraffe pellets. On Friday, the staff then answered questions and took our photos as we fed the giraffes; on Sunday, it was too crowded to interact with the staff, so most people took their own photos. The giraffes took the food quite gently and it was fun to interact with them while we were feeding them, but the signs warning us to watch out for giraffe headbutts were accurate if we tried to touch them otherwise.

    Best start to Africa!
What a fun day! Feeding mesmerizing giraffes and marvelling at the Rothschild giraffe was our first stop in Kenya. So clean and so well managed. Great way to ease into the feeling of Africa. PS. It's right opposite Giraffe Manor at a fraction of the cost. Same giraffes across the patch of land.

    Close up with giraffes
We visited the centre as part of a group safari tour. Upon entering the gate we were instructed to wash our hands, and given a small bowl of pellets for feeding the three giraffes that we saw that day. The proper technique is to hold a pellet between your fingers and feed a giraffe one pellet at a time. All the giraffes here were Rothschild’s giraffes, the ones with white legs. We also saw warthogs in the enclosure with the giraffes. We toured the small museum where a docent was talking about their program. They also had a small gift shop and restrooms. We spent about half an hour here.

    Very cool!!!!
It was a very cool experience to feed the giraffes. Half hour is all the time you need and the staff helped to take your photos while feeding them. There is also a small lodge like area where you can listen to a presentation about the different giraffes living in Africa. Very informative. Well worth the experience.

Where else can you get so close to giraffes in Africa?
After our safari at Nairobi National Park, we stopped at the Giraffe Center. For $10, it was absolutely worth the 30 minutes that we spent! On safari, you may see giraffes at a distance, or close to your vehicle if you're lucky, but you are also spending a lot more on safari.

    A lovely day, wonderful experience
Wonderful centre, great family day and really good value. It got a little crowded initially when we arrived at 11am but if you wait the crowds disperse and you have the giraffes to yourself. The staff are lovely and toe giraffes are just all beautiful, a great experience to feed them and interesting to read on the history of the centre and the manor.

    Best experience ever!
Such a busy and enjoyable place. Wash your hands before and afterward at their wash stations. You got half a bowl of giraffe feed as part of your admission which is more than plenty. Despite seeing multiple giraffes only 2 were accepting our food pellets so you had to make your way through the crowd to reach them which can be challenging. Ticklish against your fingers as you are to feed them one pellet at a time else they they may choke. They non-stop would lick their tongue to grab food from you. So cool.
