    Nice experience
We booked out tour to this park with Ahambi Tours who had organized our Mount Kenya hike. We had no much time in Kenya and we were looking forward to experience a wildlife safari so we were recommended to take the day trip to the park which was a few minutes from our hotel. I would recommend this park for anyone traveling to Kenya with no much time. For us we did the day trip the same day we were departing since our flight was later in the evening that day.

Well worth while half day excursion
This was the first place we visited when we arrived in Nairobi. Was well worth while, before we headed out on our 2 week Safari. Just adds another park to the equation, especially if you only have 5 days or a week in Kenya. Saw a lot of the animals, lions, hippo, zebra, giraffe, impala, elephants, crocodile, gazelle etc, all with the back drop of Nairobi city. Not sure there are too many places in the world you can do that. Pretty good start to an incredible trip.

Amazing National Park, right near the city, amust
We went when the dry period was coming to an end, so many animals seemed hungry. Still we could see lions, buffaloes, hippos, giraffes, ostriches, antilopes, lots of birds, etc. Really worth going. Entrance was 45 $ if I remember well, credit cards accepted.

Great “junior “ Safari experience. Good option for a short visit to Kenya-really gives the feeling of being in a game pa
We had our own driver and vehicle. Although we went on the game drive in the afternoon we saw lots of animals! We had spent a week on safari in Tanzania and never got so close to Rhinos! This park has a bit of a surreal feeling because in places you can see the city in the distance. The nature walk was fun but be ready to be led to a group of women trying to sell souvenirs.

    A Good Mini-Safari
It is a good mini-safari in the middle of the urban jungle kind of. Hehe. Tourists pay more than locals. You have to pay cash. It is around USD 40. We went in a little car. It was not comfortable. I would say pay a bit more and go on professional high-elevated vehicles. The experience is great. You see animals in nature. Though through the park a big I guess rail or road over bridge goes beside. Good to go experience and just have fun. Please don't get out of your vehicle.

Great for casual visits while in Nairobi
Nairobi National Park is situated in 30 minutes from Central Nairobi. While it is adjacent to the city of Nairobi, it has rich habitat, including hippos, lions, giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes etc. The combination of Nairobi skyscrapers and wild animals provide a unique view. Park is easy to go around in half day. It may not be rich as bigger National parks in rural Kenya but it is very good for casual visits while in Nairobi.

    Great for 1/2 day trip
Did a half day tour here with a local company. The entrance fee was about $43 and your guide can help you pay it as it’s through a government website. We were only in the park about 3 hours but saw plenty of animals including zebras, giraffes, gazelle, rhinoceros, lionesses and a buffalo.

    Safari in the City
This is an amazing experience! This is the only place on earth with a wildlife area in or abutting a large metropolitan city. The park fit the need for someone who wants to see African animals but who don't have time and money for a multi-day safari in other regions of Kenya. We saw sonny amazing sites in o e morning - giraffes, water buffalo, lions, hippopotamus and more. It was mind blowing. Our tour guide, who we contracted, privately, know the park like the back of his hand. We tended to be the first or early to see several animals before others arrived. We opted for a package that included the Sheldtrick Trust's Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Center. It cost us 100 per person. I registered through the eCitizen Kenya portal. This is a convenient way to register for the park but also other sites like museums. Once we got past some delays at the Main Gate we had a great experience. One big issue. There is no working washroom in the park. No portajohn , no nothing. We were escorted to a bathroom area, but it was not fit for use. This particularly bad for female visitors. This needs to be resolved.

    Safari in the city!
This is one of the best experiences while visiting Nairobi. If you can't venture out beyond the city, this park gives you a varied number of animals to see in their natural environment. This was my second time visiting, and I loved it as much as the first time.

If you are self driving, allow plenty of time at the gate for entry….
The online entry & payment form is tedious & time consuming. We were self drive & found it not user friendly at all. Even the lady who worked at our hotel described it as tiresome!! After travelling around Kruger National Park in South Africa, with an easy system (& so much cheaper) we were disappointed to spend so much time at an entry gate, waiting for help, as we found it impossible to upload our passport photos onto their system. We’ve had a great holiday & loved travelling in Kenya, however would like to pass on this information, especially as the entry price is set to rise considerably again later this year.

From a variety of viewing platforms, watch the orphans enjoy their bottles and gather for playtime. A senior Keeper leads the visit. Access to this visit is by advance reservation only.
