    Amazing history and beautiful exhibits
Amazing deep dive into pre-colonial history, shown through the largest collection of gold artifacts in the world. Such beautiful artwork - leaves you wondering how much was lost to the Spaniards. Audio guide is very helpful.

    Unmissable!!!
Of course this is the place to visit to know about the history of gold and copper and the amazing achievements of the local population. I wasn’t expecting the museum to be so vast with so many exhibits and frankly after a while I stopped taking pictures because you are so overwhelmed by all that gold and I tried to get focused only on the extravagant and different pieces. I think that this is the museum that make Bogotà.

    A great surprise
I live in Bogotá and I have visited the gold museum many times, but yesterday I returned with some Ecuadorian friends. I was very surprised by how the museum is. First, admission was free. The museum was full of foreign tourists, but also Colombians and Bogota residents. The permanent exhibition is very well set up and the museum's most beautiful pieces are very well displayed. It is a pleasure to visit this museum. The Muisca raft is a truly beautiful piece. The staff who work at the museum are very friendly, I especially want to thank a guard whose name I didn't know, who was at the door to the vault. He invited everyone in and did a good job of explaining the contents of the vault. Good for him.

    The Gold Museum
We loved the Gold Museum! Went there with our family and friends who were in Bogota for a family wedding and they were surprised by the beauty of the exhibitions and the collection! Everything is so well explained that you don't need a guide to tour you. It’s awesome!

    Must-see museum
Free for seniors, even foreigners, this museum which is located in the city center of Bogota belongs to the Banco de la República (Adjoining premises). It brings together a very beautiful and imposing collection of gold objects from the pre-Hispanic era. There is also a room with a small sound and light system in which you can listen to reproductions of shaman incantations. In the basement a very beautiful exhibition, perhaps only temporary, on the Amazon. The harmful role of global warming is demonstrated

    Very cool museum
Fantastic museum detailing the importance of gold to the indigenous people who lived in Colombia before the arrival of the Spanish. I went with a tour guide so it was nice having every piece we looked at explained to me and I learned so much about the history and importance of gold to these peoples up to and including the legend of El Dorado. Admission was incredibly reasonable for a museum, and probably good to spend 60 - 90 minutes exploring at a leisurely pace

    Beautiful museum in Bogotá
I went to this museum on the recommendation of friends and it was excellent. You pay a small entry fee (around six reais). In every museum, there are gold, silver and copper pieces from ancient times in Colombia's history. Very beautiful and interesting.

    Definitely worth a visit.
This museum is definitely worth a visit. It is located in the middle of the forty. Easy to find. The exhibits are interesting and well presented. Most explanations are in spanish but not english unfortunately. However it’s worth looking at even without the explanation. I did see people walking around with audio guides but this wasn’t offered to me when i purchased my ticket. probably cause i can’t speak spanish. 😀

The Colombian Museum is among the top 25 museums in the world!
The Gold Museum is one of the most amazing museums in the world and is ranked among the 15 best museums in the world. It has 60,000 pieces that tell one by one the most important historical moments of the country's pre-Columbian era.
