The Old Town is a must see. It has a unique style, many Churches and the Royal Castle. You can enjoy a walk, stay at a Cafe watch people walking and hanging. It is a nice place to visit.

Great visit to the old town
Visited the old town and shops. Lovely part of the city with various shops and places to see, this is the heart of the city and tourist visiting. Just remember this looks old but most of it rebuilt after WW2.

    Beautiful
Beautiful area, for sure main touristic attraction in Warsaw. Many architectural buildings, cathedrals, restaurants, souvenir shops and many many more. You can spend easily half day or more in the neighborhood. And you will not regret. Sometimes could become very crowded as long as all tourists group comes here.

    A must see in Warsaw.
I'll keep this short and sweet. The Old Town is an absolute must see in Warsaw. There's ALWAYS something happening and your eyes are always kept busy. In a good way. Just go and find out for yourselves. Many lovely places to eat and drink. To also buy local products.

Gorgeous place to wander and spend time
The old town is a rebuild of the pre-war old town, and very impressive in its attention to detail. We really enjoyed wandering the streets, which wind and intertwine to take you to a beautiful square (which in January had an ice rink and lots of cabins selling milled wine, hot chocolate etc.). Loads of lovely cafes and restaurants, plus shops to buy souvenirs. And around the edge of old town there are sunken gardens you can walk through, giving you a better idea of the scale of it all. We visited in January so greatly enjoyed walking through untouched snow around the walls.

    The heart of Warsaw!
The Old Town is for me the best part of Warsaw! You can't stop wandering through its narrow streets, admiring the colourful buildings with the little shops and ending up in one of the squares, the most beautiful being Rynek Starego Miasta with the statue of the mermaid. It really takes you back in time..

    Rebuilt Warsaw
This was the face of historic Warsaw and is now the postwar treasure of the Polish capital. The completely rebuilt old town is neat and impressive. Touristy in many ways, it is still the prime attraction for visitors.

    Beautiful town!
What a great area in Warsaw. There are plenty of shops and places to eat. Because the area is large it does not feel crowded. Nice overlook of the river. A UNESCO site, this is a must see in Warsaw. Take the time to get lost down a cobbled street while not on a schedule. We visited early evening, just enough time to see the last of the sunset and the beautiful lights of the town. You won't be disappointed.

  • Royal Castle in Warsaw - Museum Hotels
The Royal Castle in Warsaw (Polish: Zamek Królewski w Warszawie) is a castle residency that formerly served throughout the centuries as the official residence of the Polish monarchs. Initially the complex served as the residence of the Dukes of Masovia, and since the sixteenth century, the seat of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth: the King and Parliament. In its long history the Royal Castle was repeatedly plundered and devastated by the invading Swedish, Brandenburgian, Prussian and Tsarist armies. Burned and looted by the Nazi Germans following the Invasion of Poland in 1939 and almost completely destroyed in 1944 after the failed Warsaw Uprising, the Castle was completely rebuilt and reconstructed. Reconstruction of the castle carried out in 1971–1984 was led by the Civic Committee, responsible for the reconstruction of Warsaw. In 1980, the Royal Castle, together with the Old Town was registered as a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site.
