    Superb residence
Stunning palace, especially the interior, we purchased the ticket which also includes entry to the Sissy Museum... I recommend a guided tour or an audio guide to better understand the functions of the rooms and the historical events, it is absolutely worth the visit immerse yourself in the history and events of the Austrian imperial family!!

    Must visit place
Good afternoon, we were visiting this impressive palace yesterday, it is about 8 kilometers from the center and has an easy connection to get there, I recommend you arrive early since the influx is very large and you may be left without a ticket. The visit is about €29 and at least we liked it a lot and you go with an audio guide, the gardens are free and you can walk for a few hours enjoying those very well-kept gardens. Must visit

    The empire revealed
A rightly very popular site with the mostly 19th and early 20th century imperial and royal history in the forefront of the experience. When buying your ticket you are given an entrance time, which can be quite a while ahead. We used the time to visit the Imperial Carriage Museum. This is the finest example of a carriage (and sled) museum we have ever seen. The imperial grandeur of the palace is overwhelming and yet the story is told (on hand-held devices) so that it becomes the story of a working family at the centre of a difficult empire with all its ups and downs. Franz Joseph I is particularly vividly brought to life: amongst the magnificent galleries and state rooms, his bedroom, office and dining room are really quite modest. The only drawback is that, despite the efforts to control entry and the clever missing out audio guide descriptions of a few bottleneck rooms, it still manages to get quite crowded. But don't let that put you off.

The audio tour is worth it
We had pre-booked the entire long tour with audio guidance. At the end of February in the middle of the week, a reservation would not have been necessary, there were no queues. The tour was interesting and we supplemented it by googling. The family tree of the guerrilla could have been clarified more in the audio, especially for a tourist who is not a native English speaker. The garden wasn't green yet, but I think it will be wonderful when it starts to green up.

400 years of Culture and History in this Palace!
I came with a group of High School students. It was exciting to see how interested the students were walking through the Palace. Schönbrunn Palace was the main summer residence of the Habsburg rulers, located in Hietzing, Vienna. The name comes from a phrase meaning "Beautiful Spring." The current palace dates back to the 1740s, then many of extensions and rebuilding work followed. The site of the Palace and Gardens of Schönbrunn is one of the most impressive and well preserved Baroque ensembles of its kind in Europe. The Palace served as the imperial summer for empress Maria Theresa, during her reign. She received the Schönbrunn as a wedding gift. The Palace is a potent symbol of the power and influence. The House of Habsburg ranged over a long period of European history. It began during the end of the 17th and lasted to the early 20th century. Napoleon has stayed here twice during his reign.

    Beautiful palace
Great palace to explore. If you get the Vienna card it is included. You do have to get a “timed ticket” for entry though, and audio guide for explanations. Extensive grounds to enjoy as well. Metro takes you right up to grounds entrance.

    Fabulous Venue
Spent a sunny Sunday afternoon at this venue. We opted for the Grand tour audio assisted. You cannot go wrong! Such a fabulous place. We headed out into the gardens in the spring sunshine. Truly recommend this as a place to spent a few hours.

    Impressive!!!
We went late and couldn't find tickets to enter the palace, but the walk in the gardens more than compensated us!!! The gardens are open until late and access is free almost everywhere. Unfortunately, due to the season, they didn't have many flowers yet, but they were still impressive. The route from the palace to the Gloriette is about 20 minutes where one realizes the magnificence of the place. At Gloriette you can freely climb up to the cafe where you can take perfect photos. This particular visit should not be missed under any circumstances, even if you do not go inside.

    A palace that needs time.
Beautiful palace, I think you should visit it if you have the time. (You will need 2-3 hours to walk it all.) large gardens, the main building which requires an entrance to see it inside. The gardens and courtyard(s) are free. Opposite the building there is the fountain and a little higher arches.
