The sleek, Viking ship-inspired design against the backdrop of the sea and mountains creates a striking and symbolic sight. It's an iconic landmark in the city, so I guess that makes it a must-see. The walk to the sculpture is very nice. It was a very windy day when I visited so I didn't stay too long as it was so cold. But if the weather is nice, it'll be lovely to sit and admire the view for a while.

.., photo subjects far and wide. Where sunset in summer means having patience until just before midnight. Unfortunately, it is actually a patience game to be able to depict this sculpture without tourists running in. If you even want to shoot a time-lapse video of it, you have to add luck to your angel patience. It's probably best to show up at 6 a.m. You can stop just above the main road at one of the two bays and then take a photo. Better to walk from the harbour district over here. Unfortunately, the artist Jón Gunnar Árnason has not grown very old.

The Sun Voyager is a beautiful sculpture of a steel-styled ship. It is located by the sea, near Harpa Concert Hall. The sculpture represents "the promise of an undiscovered territory, a dream of hope, progress and freedom". It is very well preserved and access is easy and free.

A beautiful tribute right off the water. This shining sculpture catches the sunrise and sunset along with the reflection of the water. Worth a view as you walk along the trail, especially at midnight waiting for the northern lights.

Nice little steel architecture, great spot if you catch a photo op on a sunny day. The hills behind with white snow capped peaks stand out. Be warned it is on the open coast and can be very windy. Go in the morning when it’s less busy a lot of people walk along the sea front. This pretty structure is partway between the old and new Harbours of Reykjavik although closer to the new than the old.

Even the beautiful weather was enough. The light is already perfect in my photos. The whiteness of the mountains in the background was quite interesting. You just need to dress well. He gets cold even on sunny days.

This is sculpture that is a Reykjavik treasure. You may not spend a lot of time looking at it but look at where you are on the waterfront. Take a walk on the parkway and you will find that the scenery is spectacular. There is parking right by this site and a paved walkway.

Just have a short walk there while enjoying view of the mountain and the sea. The sculpture itself is just average for me, maybe interesting if there is aurora appeared at night at that place. Either walking from nearby neighbourhood or from Harpa Concert Hall, you can also drive car and park at the dedicated area at the roadside.
