    Royal experience
Fantastic castle in Copenhagen city center. In order to enjoy the visit at best, I recommend to follow the guide accessible through wifi. It is very well organized with numbers under all the paintings/attractions, so that it is easy to reference during the visit. It gives a great and instructive view of the history of Danish monarchy since the 17th century.

If you love jewels, you will love Rosenborg
Visited here on our two week tour of Denmark with family and a friend. Although I have been here before, it still remains a special place. Especially love the Treasury with the royal crowns and multiple sets of gorgeous jewelry. The emerald set is my favorite.

    Gorgeous Must Do
Absolutely beautifully! We enjoyed our visit to this castle. The Crown Jewels were exquisite. Note: You need to go to the ticket office even if you have the Copenhagen Pass. It’s not a big deal and takes a couple of minutes. Then you go to the locker room and lock up your purse unless it is very small, they provide a fake coin to put in the locker. Then you queue up for your allotted entry time. If you queue before your entry time you’ll be asked to step out of line until your time. This is for crowd control and was totally understandable. The ground and gardens are also amazing. The guards are doing their jobs so best pay attention and stay out of their way. The bathrooms are pretty rustic, I think this is a must do when in Copenhagen.

Definitely worth a visit in Copenhagen
Beautiful interiors and one of the must see castles in Copenhagen. There is usually quite a queue and they only allow limited number of visitors into the castle at any one time to avoid over crowding. Therefore make sure you book a slot online and come punctually. This way your wait will be fairly short. The Rose garden outside the moat is also a highlight. Lots of beautiful roses of all Colors.

    Lovely and detailed castle
This was my 2nd attraction in Copenhagen, visiting around 2pm on a Friday in November. I used my Copenhagen Card to get in. This was my first experience with the free lockers at Copenhagen historical sites. They're easy to use and free (everywhere I visited except Glyptotek) and let you move about a site unencumbered by your bag or big coat. I went into the main reception area and glommed onto a guided tour. The guide had some fun stoties about the Marble Room, Great Hall, and Treasury Room. I enjoyed learning about the royal foibles and the origins of the Order of the Elephant. We all enjoyed his insights, but then when we tried to clap at the end in the Treasury, he had to quickly shush us because of the alarms. So that was funny. I did go back and view more of the weaponry and ivory collection on my own. This is the most open of the castles, Amalienborg and Christiansborg are both more limited.

    Worth a stop
Very good, not busy only had to wait 10 mins, only 50 allowed in at a time. Quite strict about timings. Ornate castle, next to military parade ground saw them practicing. Very ornate and colourful inside, mainly wall décor not much furniture, throne room good and silver lions impressive. Crown jewels are here too. Spent just about an hour here.

    Happy accident
We weren’t actually looking for the castle when we paid for the tickets. However overall is was a lovely building to look at and look around. There wasn’t much to do overall but that could be more because it wasn’t to our particular taste of activity however was still very pleasant. Also recommend getting the tour book as we had no idea what we were looking at half the time.

    Very dark castle
We got to see a lot of the castle on our visit. The castle is lit by very dull lighting and as the furnishings were also very dark it made viewing and experiencing the castle difficult. There are lots of rooms to see, many of which are claimed to be in there original condition. Crown Jewels are in the basement were beautiful. We didn’t visit the gardens, as it was December we could see there was not much to see. We did visit the restrooms which were very smelly, unfortunately they were being cleaned by an extremely rude member of staff who tried to push visitors out of the door when they tried to go in. Included with the Copenhagen card.

    A Royal Ego on Display
I love old castles and this one is great. Pretty dark inside, with ornate ceilings and wall panelling, but it was designed as a summer palace and I saw it in winter. The royal hall up on the third floor is very elaborate - King Christian the 4th obviously liked showing off!

Beautiful castle with treasures and artwork galore
A brilliantly preserved castle filled with loads of art and treasures inside. You go in at a timed slot, with about fifty, and then go round at your own pace. So much of it is open that you see quite a lot of rooms. Just make sure you approach the castle from the roadside, I made the mistake of trying to cut through the park and then having to walk round on myself. Don’t forget to see the Crown Jewels while you’re there!

  • Nyhavn Hotels
Copenhagen's Nyhaven, or "New Harbor," is actually steeped in a long heritage. Colorful buildings line the canal and hint at a history of small-vessel traffic. Like many ports, this strip has a salty history, rich with sailors, drinking and literary exploits. Danish author Hans Christian Andersen made his home in Nyhavn as well. It's cleaned up now and is a lovely place for a stroll.

  • The Round Tower Hotels
The Round Tower Lookout Tower – Observatory – Exhibitions – Concerts. One of the best-known and most popular structures in Denmark, the Round Tower has been a distinctive feature of the Copenhagen skyline since 1642. The Tower once soared far above the rest of the rooftops in the city, and University astronomers studied the stars and planets from the Observatory at the top. The scholars may have forsaken the building a long time ago, but during the winter visitors are still able to gaze at the cosmos from Europe's oldest functioning observatory. The platform that runs around the outside of the Observatory affords views over the old Latin Quarter – from here, you can spot most of the city's famous buildings. The Round Tower does not have an elevator, so visitors have to climb the winding, white-washed Spiral Walk, where kids often hide in the niches, only to jump out shouting “boo!” as adults approach. Halfway up the tower is the entrance to the large and stunningly beautiful Library Hall, which now serves as a popular gallery and concert venue. It hosts several exhibitions a year, and stages concerts almost every week. Above the Library is the Bell Loft, notable for its enormous wooden beams, which were used in the reconstruction of the Tower following the great fire of Copenhagen in 1728. The Loft is also home to a small exhibition of fascinating artefacts from the Tower's history, including Christian IV's wax seal, a tin of medicine produced by Tycho Brahe, and a piece of the bomb that exploded in the Library Hall during the bombardment of Copenhagen in 1807.The Round Tower was built by Christian IV between 1637 and 1642. It was the first part of the Trinitatis Complex, which combined church, library and observatory in a single building.

This hippy enclave and alternative community in the heart of Copenhagen is home to many artists and artisans. Here, you can wonder at colorful street art all around, and stop by cozy cafes for some top-notch craft beers. Enjoy the area’s bohemian vibes as you hunt for offbeat handicrafts, and go for a walk around the lake or stroll down the infamous Pusher Street—where you’ll be required to put your camera away. During warmer months, this neighborhood is a great spot for some outdoor, waterside fun. Christiania is more welcoming to travelers during the day. – Tripadvisor

  • Christiansborg Slot Hotels
Christiansborg Palace is situated on the little island of Slotsholmen (Castle Island) which is surrounded by canals in the heart of Denmark's capital, Copenhagen. Denmark has one of the oldest monarchies in the world, and the palace has a long, dramatic history which revolves around the exercise of royal power. Today, Denmark is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system of governance. Under its beautiful copper roof, the palace houses the Danish parliament, the office of the Danish prime minister and the Supreme Court. It is therefore the center for legislative, executive and judicial power in Denmark. The palace also accommodates rooms for the Danish Monarchy. Focusing on the royal part of the palace, Christiansborg Palace is H.M. the Queen's working palace. This is where the Queen holds audiences, signs laws, holds banquets and receptions, celebrates royal anniversaries and receives state visits. It is a working palace where old traditions and the modern Royal Family meet. You will see dazzling halls, adorned with colorful tapestries, vast paintings, patterned floors, glittering chandeliers, and sumptuous stucco ceilings. You can explore The Royal Kitchen and see its two tons of shiny copper kitchenware. You can visit the beautiful palace chapel, stand underneath its dome and let your head spin as you gaze up at the angels in the ceiling décor more than 30 metres above you. In The Royal Stables you'll find the the white royal horses in the wintertime, and in the summertime the exhibition "All the kings' horses" - all year around you can see the Royal Family's array of carriages. One of them is coated with 24-carat gold leaf. You can also explore the underground ruins underneath Christiansborg Palace. These are ruins of earlier castles and palaces showing that the Castle Island is steeped in 800 years of power and political intrigue.
