    Rich history on printing
The museum is worth a visit. It is rich in history and makes you go back in time. The paintings ,books, rooms used and especially the preserved manual equipments used in printing were all there for your eyes feast on.

    Must-visit
My favourite place I visited in Antwerp. What a museum! I did not expect to be as enthralled in it, but hugely enjoyed my visit to this museum. Have spoken about what I learnt and saw here for months since visiting. Make sure you go here when in Antwerp.

    Highly recommended!
I had a wonderful time visiting the Plantin–Moretus Museum. It was amazing to see so many objects from the past, such as books, prints, and tools. The architecture of the building was also very impressive and beautiful. I learned a lot about the history of printing and publishing in Antwerp. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and they answered all my questions.

    Fantastis few hours
I ended up here at the end of a walking tour and was delighted to a. have the opportunity to thaw out (it was minus 6 deg outside!!) but more importantly, b0 throughly enjoyed wandering around this amazing museum which also had a fabulous drawing exhibition on. I learned so much about the history of printing and publishing and the impact that Antwerp had on the dissemination of knowledge around Europe starting in the 16th Century! It also houses a fabulous art collection including many Rubens portraits. This is a must see Museum during your stay in Antwerp

Beautiful and insightful museum, a must to visit in Antwerp
The building is quite big and the visit lasts at least a good hour. The history around the Plantin-Moretus family is well explained and its overall very interesting. You can see how books were printed at the time and the different types of alphabet etc used.

Didn't agree with previous hype reviews but solid in it's own right
Read all the previous reviews and went in expecting something which was not this. It's literally that, you visit an old, cherished and historically significant printing press which is also VERY cool. Solid collection, nice history into this art that changed the world but wouldn't say it's the best museum I've ever visited, not even top 10 it would do the other great museums a disservice.

    Must See!!
A must see! Incredible history of the printed word! At one time 50 % of all Science books worldwide were printed here! My one niggle, I would have loved to have seen 'dressed' private rooms of the family, especially of the early years. This would further bring their remarkable story to life!

Prepare Your Brain To Be Fascinated if not Overwhelmed
This Museum is a true gem for anyone who thinks the advent of the internet was the first real quantum change in global knowledge sharing. The journey through the history of the Plantin and Moretus families and their desire to codify language and bring knowledge to the world is quite breathtaking. The impact on language, grammar, standardisation of script, and knowledge sharing is amazing, Equally amazing is the impact on moving business from a cottage-type business to one with offices in other countries as an early example of what would eventually become globalisation is at least thought-provoking. All the above whilst female family members were encourage to study, learn languages and take an active role in the business. This is not a history set in the 20th or 21st centuries but we are talking 1500's. Prepare to be amazed and make sure you leave enough time to visit this museum. Also leave enough time after your visit to reflect on what you've learned.

    Printy.
An extraordinary way to spend time. If you know anything about the museum, and still choose to go, then it'll be worth it - a printers' dream, so much stuff! I liked it, but the missus lost her sh** over it (in a good way): we literally experienced as much excitement as old printing works could provide.

    Great Value
We spent one day visiting Antwerp while staying in Bruges. We decided to make our one cultural visit for the day this place. Lovely place to visit, very interesting, beautiful and great value - only 24 euro as our three children free entry (which makes a nice change from most other attractions in Belgium which seems to class anyone above around 12 as not a child anymore and makes visiting things expensive). All staff were very helpful and the absolute highlight was the long talk in English and demonstration by Paul? who showed us how the printing press worked and my children got to take away an example on printed paper. He was fantastic and we learned more in that talk than the rest of the tour combined. Great value for money and worth a visit.
