    Stunning Sculptures; Photos Now Allowed!
I know pretty much nothing about art. But when I was first in the Borghese gallery in ‘08, I was stunned at the detail and life size, lifelike sculptures by Bernini. I now tell everyone this is a MUST SEE gallery! To execute these works with the tools available is something to ponder and to marvel about. Take your time and really take in the details; truly amazing! Several paintings by Caravaggio and Raphael as well to appreciate.

    Bernini and more!
Beautiful gallery setting to view a great collection. Bernini sculptures are the highlight. Pre purchase tickets to ensure you can get in. Setting of gallery in park is also lovely - cafe does take away so nice for a picnic. Very peaceful.

    Nice museum in beautiful park
Beautiful sculptures and interior. Worth a visit. Only the sculpture floor was open when I visited, was nice to see but I did not spend 2h there. The surrounding park is gorgeous, spend some time there while you're in the area.

    Exquisite
I am very fond of Renaissance portraits, and there were plenty of them among the predominantly religious scenes. The sculpture of Apollo and Daphne by Bernini is a spine-tingling masterpiece. More crowded than I would like, but I saw everything I wanted to. A slightly lesser known museum with unique treasures.

    Galleria Borghese-For Art Lovers
The Borghese Gallery is not only a beautiful villa but, surrounded by wonderful gardens. The Villa is filled with sculptures and paintings that should not be missed by Art Lovers. I would recommend that you purchase a ticket in advance. The Gallery was sold out the day that we were there. When you purchase a ticket, you are given a time to see the gallery. You have a two hour time limit. After seeing the gallery, you should enjoy the gardens.

    A must visit in Rome.
A not too be missed museum in Rome. But it is essential to purchase your tickets in advance. There is a strict admittance policy that is printed on your ticket with a maximum time limit in the museum of 2 hours. The paintings on the upper floors are beautiful but for me the highlight was the sculptures on the lower floor. The museum is located in a beautiful, tranquil park. There is also a very nice cafe in the museum. I highly recommend a visit to this museum.

    Impressive
Wow! One of the best galleries I have visited. Amazing art and a rare opportunity to see some pieces of art first hand. We got the tour guide which is definitely worth it. they provide a lot of great information which is paramount to the experience. You can see some Caravaggio art work along the many other spectacular art. Also, visit the cafeteria on the lower level for some delicious snacks.

    Don't miss it
What a heavenly piece of architecture populated by such gorgeous art. The statues stand magnificently as if almost alive. And I love how there are several manageable rooms that allow you to take to focusing on each piece. From floor to ceiling, every room is so well appointed. And many of the ceilings are truly remarkable. As well, they limit the number of visitors so as to give you breathing room as a guest. A must see. Thank you so much.

A guided tour by the museum
We would love it if the museum people offered private guided tours since you can ask and get the time to develop a passion for the masterpieces of art. Simone was a great ambassador and teacher. At the end of the tour, we could feel how the creating artists set up the artwork — a great time.

    Unmissable
The Gallery Borghese Museum is not only one of the most beautiful museums in Rome but is also one of the most interesting and prestigious in the world. The works of the Borghese Gallery are among the most beautiful of the Italian Baroque: inside you will find some of Bernini's most beautiful masterpieces, but also paintings by Raphael and numerous works by Caravaggio. Among the works to remember, the two busts of Cardinal Scipione Borghese by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, the statue of the sleeping Hermaphrodite, the imposing sculptural group depicting Marco Curzio throwing himself with his horse into a chasm, attributed to Pietro Bernini, the statue of Paolina Borghese by Canova, Bernini's David, the statue of Aeneas, Anchises and Ascanius by Bernini, the statue of Apollo and Daphne, the statue depicting the Rape of Proserpina and the works of Caravaggio and Raphael's masterpieces and his iconic Lady with the Unicorn. Other paintings absolutely unmissable are Correggio's Danae and the two paintings by Titian. Worthy of note is the decoration of the large entrance hall of the Borghese Gallery, perhaps the most impressive. The "Glory of Rome" by the painter Mariano Rossi is represented on the ceiling. At the center of the vault you will be able to recognize Romulus, founder of Rome, who is taken to heaven by Jupiter, king of the gods. We took advantage of a major cultural event such as the exhibition of the works of the great Flemish artist Rubens to visit the Borghese Gallery for the third time. The exhibition entitled "The touch of Pygmalion. Rubens and sculpture in Rome". This is the title of the exhibition which aimsinvestigate the ancient art, make it new, study the shapes and figures of the past giving them new life, color, softness. Peter Paul Rubens, one of the greatest artists of the 17th century, is at the center of the splendid exhibition that we had the pleasure of seeing and admiring in the rooms of the Borghese Gallery in Rome. Unmissabble.
