This place didn't even register as a place to go while in Munich. I'm not much of a car person. It's more of my husband's cup of tea, but I actually really enjoyed it. There aren't a lot of cars to see, but the ones there are the best.

Xmas markets. Excellent gifts and food . Germany and Christmas. Nobody does it better. Beer. Bratwurst. Bavarian culture. Easily reached on S1 or S8 SBahn rail from airport . Group of 4 buy day group ticket 17 euros unlimited till 6 am next day. Holiday inn express West good value hotel 4 stops from Marienplatz , main xmas market hub.

Legendary Olympiapark needed a visit and there is no reason pass-by this BMW showroom at the same time. It is free for everyone and you get easily sights how things have changed no only in BMW but also whole car industry during years. There is also Munich factory tours guided from Welt but this are needed to book well ahead (by calling/mailing there). Easy to reach with metro, stop is only 150m away from Welt.

This is a free exhibit, of all the new BMW cars and motorbikes. Plus there were a few Rolls Royce cars (behind a barrier) and Minis that you could look at too. Most of the cars were locked, but some you could sit inside. All the motorbikes on the first floor were accessible, and the kids loved sitting on them all! I thought a short visit but we were there close to 2 hours, wandering around looking at everything, while the kids checked out the motorbikes. There were a few displays about the automotive future for BMW too. It's a glorified showroom, without the pushy car salespeople. The building is amazing architecture too! Certainly worth a visit if you are in Munich. Easily reachable from the city centre by U-Bahn.

This stop was enjoyable, free and had lots to see. We were able to view many cars and motorcycles and bought a nice souvenir for our son. We did stop for coffee but there were two nice looking cafes onsite. We enjoyed this stop more than the museum across the street!

As I was visiting BMW for business, I could not resists going to to BMW World and was not disappointed. If you love cars, you will see some exceptional vehicles there. Not only that but the cafe is quite good and there is a fun gift shop. Overall a great experience.
