A must see, confusing map though!
Louvre is so amazing and more! I did not expect that there would be more than just paintings and sculptures so I was surprised by all of the amazing interiors, artifacts etc. I hope I get to return there someday and then I will for sure reserve a whole day to walk around and appreciate everything because we went for the last booking of the day and 3 hours was not nearly enough even more because we spent half of the time walking in circles because their map is incredibly confusing.

Great experience in such a huge and unique museum
A must to visit Louvre. And dedicate at least a day, which would definitely be not enough. We were in the fifth hour and still could not cover a half of 1 level of the one side of the building. So huge! But it is so great to see all such unique paintings as you might think Mona Lisa is just one of them. It is real overwhelming experience. The sculptures are amazing, there are real ones and casted ones, all looking amazing. You can enjoy all art from different geographies and different centuries. It is just amazing.
gyet, thank you very much for your comment. We are delighted that you enjoyed your visit !

Great experience - a must do!
My wife and I visited with our 7.5 year old son and 3 year old daughter. Knowing that our 3 year olds interest would only last so long we had already planned out our route before visiting. We therefore saw everything we wanted to see within 2 hours and for us personally that was an adequate length of time - whilst I'm sure for a real art lover it is nowhere near enough. We had an early time slot so managed to see the Mona Lisa without a crowd - this was a really touching experience, being that close to the artwork was special for us all but especially our son. The Venus de Milo is equally enchanting and beautiful. The rest of our interest was mostly in the other Italian / ancient Greek sculptures. The museum is wonderfully laid out and exquisite to look at. We visited the shop before leaving and amongst some standard fare they have some really cool things for the family - Louvre focused Cluedo, Monopoly and even Dobble. I'd advise anyone to go and visit, whether you have 2 hours or 10 there is a way to do it to suit everyone!
Stammered, thank you very much for your comment. We're delighted you enjoyed your family's visit to the Louvre!

    It's a little confusing inside
I'm sure it's been talked about in many guidebooks and websites, but I still think it's one of the best in terms of quality and quantity in the world. The unique pyramids are also a must-see. The interior is very large and the structure is a bit complicated, so it's easy to get lost, but once I noticed that the room numbers were written above the entrances and exits, it became much easier to find my way around.

    For art lovers
After having been to Paris several times on a February day that was expected to be rainy, I booked online entry to the Musée du Louvre I was lucky because I found the place on the same day (1.30pm) without having to queue I arrived directly by metro (Palais Royale -Musee) du Louvre stop) Access for individual tickets is from the pyramid. As soon as you enter you immediately perceive the beauty and majesty of the palace: a succession of masterpieces. In the Mona Lisa room there was a lot of people - don't linger too long waiting to photograph it, see it from the side and it will seem that on both sides you are look. The painting that impressed me is "The Wedding at Cana" by the grandiose Veronese. Take time to visit this museum, it's worth it. Ticket price 22 euros

    Journey through Art and History
Visiting the Louvre Museum was a truly fascinating and enriching experience. From the majestic Glass Pyramid to the stunning works of art, the Louvre is a true treasure trove of history and culture. As soon as I entered the museum, I was struck by the grandeur of the building and the incredible amount of art it houses. I made a point of spending hours admiring masterpieces such as Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo and the Victory of Samothrace.

    Don't miss it
Even if you're not an art lover, this is probably the biggest attraction in Paris. The Mona Lisa is small and cannot be seen with the naked eye because it is viewed from more than 3 meters away, but there are many masterpieces such as other works by Da Vinci and Napoleon's Coronation, Greek sculptures such as the Winged Victory of Samothrace and the Venus de Milo, treasure collections from the royal era, decorations of the building itself, and so on. If I had to say one thing, the audio guide using the DS is hard to use, and there are not many works that are guided, so I think there is room for improvement.

    Experience of a lifetime
The entire experience was surreal… It took me back decades and decades into history. Having studied English literature & International history, I could relate so well. Took lots of pictures. Loved the portrait of Mona Lisa. Would go back to see the museum in a heartbeat!
njmalhotra, thank you very much for your enthusiastic feedback! See you soon at the Louvre.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, the guided tour organized by UTG-EXPERIENCE
This Sunday, February 11, 2024, via a UTG-EXPERIENCE reservation, we had the pleasure of visiting the Louvre Museum in the company of our guide Bénédicte. In addition to her extreme kindness, we appreciated the high quality of Bénédicte's explanations, explanations which denote an excellent knowledge of the history of art. This visit was an opportunity for us to have very fruitful discussions with our guide. For a future visit to Paris focused on history or art history, it would be very pleasant for us to do so in the company of Bénédicte, to whom we wish the best. Eric and Therese

    Lourve museum
This has to be one of the busying museum in the world for tourist running to see the madness of the mona Lisa whilst missing the true treasures in this establishment, a day is not enough time here, go as early as you can and don't use the Paris tourist office whatever you do, turn up early and pay at the door, the tourist office is not in the hotel de ville and they don't tell you that if you buy the paris ticket or that most places are under going major renovations work, pantheon was closed. The lourve is well worth the effort and the history of the location is great. Napoleon bedroom in February 2024 is closed, maybe Josephine was saying not tonight again. Have loaded pictures of the madness of seeing the mona lisa, the vanity of a stare or pretend smile! How much longer do I have to sit for this artist she must have been thinking?
