- Sanaz MVancouver, Canada25 contributionsDon't pass this up. Well worth the fair ticket priceThis was surprisingly one of the best experiences of our trip to London. We just stumbled upon it while walking on the bridge, and upon buying the very inexpensive tickets, where treated to one of the best historical exhibitions in London, along with a spectacular view from the glass floor at the top of the bridge. Highly recommend!Visited September 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 3, 2023
- OldjackGreater Melbourne, Australia29,188 contributionsIcon Suspension BridgeThis icon suspension bridge was built between 1886 to 1890 to connect the east end of London. It is 240 metres long and has two Victorian Gothic style towers 6r Metres high. A must see if in London.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 7, 2023
- scouse1941806 contributionsA London visit "Must".It's "just part of the London Scenery" - I had no idea that I could walk across the top of this fantastic London iconic structure! What a great experience. Stairs or elevator option takes visitors to the 'Top' and from here you have the option of walking across the length of the bridge via the glass walkway or via the "normal" floor! Great discussions and challenges on the part of most. I admit that I opted to do half and half! Even though it was grey and overcast, the views were magnificent. It was an eye opener to see the Tower of London, for centuries the tallest building in England, dwarfed by the modern buildings of the City. From the walkway we then were able to visit the exhibit of Victorian machinery that once operated this bridge. Machines that were works of art! Absolutely worth the visit.Visited September 2023Traveled soloWritten October 9, 2023
- roy vTraralgon, Australia6,027 contributionsWhat a iconic structureIn London this is one iconic place hard to miss. We had great walks beside the river and of course the bridge was visible from a long way off. We went under it one day by boat and walked across it another, very busy popular place. Fantastic architecture,it surely is one of the worlds most recognised buildings, a real feature of London and the Thames river. A pleasure to see and walk across, must be one of the most photographed places in the countryVisited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 10, 2023
- Sean TGrays Thurrock, United Kingdom3 contributionsSurprisingly good and a fantastic view point!Didn't know what to expect but surprisingly interesting. Steel construction was a surprise as was the mechanism for lifting the bridge. However the best part was the walk across the glass floor between the towers - Awesome! Highly recommended.Visited September 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 13, 2023
- advcardsReno, Nevada4,449 contributionsRecommend tickets in advanceSaves you a little time to get your tickets in advance not necessary. It is a self guided tour of 206 stairs. They have staff at various spots to answer questions then when you finish with the bridge you go to the engine room for two highlights, where the engine room in the glass walkway I really think you only need about an hour. They open at 9:30 line started to line up about 915.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 16, 2023
- Matt TSevenoaks, United Kingdom60 contributionsGreat day out. An iconic place that you must visit! The iconic London tower bridge is definitely a place I would recommend to visit if your in London. The views from the top are stunning and they have glass floors that you can stand on to view the road and the River Thames from above. It also has many facts, videos and even some interactive parts. The tickets also include access to the engine rooms which was equally as interesting. Although, if you don’t want to queue for 20-30 mins, pre book in advance! Overall, the experience was one that you don’t want to miss!Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 24, 2023
- JimExeter, United Kingdom5 contributionsReally great for kids and adultsWe visited on a rainy day and after visiting the Tower of London really just came in to escape the weather but we’re glad we did. We used the Go City pass and so it was free but we’ll worth the entry fee they charge (£12 adults, half price for kids). You get to learn about the history and construction of it and got to walk over the upper bridges which have a cool glass floor the kids loved lying on 😄. For me there was just the right balance of adult and child interest. I loved the engine rooms. Staff all pleasant.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 27, 2023
- Dhanraj AjmeraEngland, United Kingdom2 contributionsNice palace for peaceTower Bridge is an engineering marvel and an iconic symbol of London. Its distinctive design, with its towering turrets and drawbridge mechanism, is a sight to behold. The view from the bridge, looking out over the Thames and towards the Tower of London, is truly breathtaking. The interactive exhibitions inside provide fascinating insights into the history and mechanics of this world-famous bridge. Walking across it, especially when the drawbridge is raised, offers a unique experience that's both educational and thrilling.
