Great way to learn about Mexico
Booked this tour while in Mexico City for our anniversary. Alicia was amazing. We learned so much about Mexico’s rich history. We never felt rushed, we could take as many pictures as we wanted and ask as many questions as we could think of. Would highly recommend it.

A must see in Mexico City!
Beautifully located in Chapultepec Park. The castle offers great views of the city from the beautiful rooftop gardens. Many historically significant items and art on display. Unfortunately there is no English translation for anything which is detrimental to those with limited Spanish like myself.

    Tour Review
Chapultepec Castle is a very interesting place since it has several emblematic objects for the history of our country such as paintings, sculptures and more. Personally, I have the joy of having visited this place many years ago when I was little, the fact that the battle where the child heroes fought took place dazzled me, since the place was immense and beautiful. Now that I know a little more about its history, it is even more striking to me since it housed great people such as Porfirio Díaz and Francisco I. Madero.

The marvel of the only castle in Mexico.
I find this location as a portal through time. A perfect representation of the life in a quite distant past, combined with some of the elements of nowadays modernity. A perfectly conserved memoire of the everyday life in the 18th century (when it was built), a place that once housed many viceroys, including Bernardo of Gálvez, the one who ordered to build the castle, as well as the Emperor Maximiliano of Habsburg and his wife Charlotte of belgium, now housing many murals and other interesting pieces of art from renowned artists such as Siqueiros or Diego Rivera. It's walls and halls also reminds us of important events that happened in here, such as the final effort to stop the North American army on the intervention back at the day at 1848. This place is truly a landmark, culturally, and historically, for the great nation that is Mexico.

Beautiful Castle with grand rooms & stunning views
Chapaultepec Castle sits on top of Chapaultepec Park and is accessed via a long and winding upward road. At the bottom of the castle is the natural history museum and on the top floors was the residence of the occupants of the Castle including Hapsburgs as well as Mexican Presidents. The rooms are beautiful and all command spectacular views of the city as well as a beautiful rooftop garden.

    The Black Swan
We went to the Black Swan ballet, it was an excellent, magnificent presentation. They are unique. What failed was that several people arrived late, they were allowed to pass and they interrupted the show, people had to stop to let them go to their seats and that blocked the view. I consider that this is not right, since the company is already doing its job and the spectators who arrive on time are also bothered.

    Free at 65!
Good to know if you are 65 or over, admission is free. The security guard was nice enough to walk over and tell us we didn’t need to wait in the ticket line - pays to have gray hair!! It is a long walk up the hill and you will feel the effects of the altitude if you tackle this early in your trip to Mexico City.

Good for a history lesson and visit.
I highly recommend a guided tour. It is all about the history, not much about the artifact or even the view. Be aware of the physical strain. You need to be in OK shape to walk up to the castle. The elevate was out of order for the physically challenged people.

    SIMPLY SPECTACULAR!!!
This experience will cause you to be speechless at the beauty, history, views and architectural elegance. It is a MUST SEE when in Mexico City!!! If you are mobility impaired, you should not go here as the walk to the top can be stressful physically for some travelers.
