- BrnoThe charms of the Czech Republic's second-largest city may not be immediate, but spend a few days in this Moravian town and Brno's vibrant, authentic Czech ambiance will win you over. It's a fine way to experience Czech life without the teeming herds of tourists that visit Prague. Art Nouveau, Empire and Neoclassical buildings stand in the bar- and restaurant-packed old city center. Leafy parks abound. Be sure to get a photo with a local landmark, the suspiciously crocodilian Brno Dragon statue.Read more

- KookyRedHeadTorquay, United Kingdom360 contributionsThe MOOo Downtown apartments are run by the hotel just opposite (The quirky and fun Mosaic House Design Hotel) which is where you go first to check in & get your keycards. We were greeted late at night by a friendly receptionist who went on to explain everything about getting into the apartments, & where we could find the additional facilities provided by the hotel (eg the gym, the gallery library, & the breakfast cafe). We crossed the road & entered through the lovely lobby of the apartment block, then up the lift to our accommodations on floor 5. Every point was secure & only accessible by guests, so we felt safe the entire stay. At first, we had apartment 21 which was spacious, warm, clean & very comfortable. A bottle of complimentary prosecco was left for us in the kitchen/living room, as well as plenty of info about the place. The waterfall shower head was huge & really lovely. Each window had a view out onto the streets & the arty sculptures that are dotted about the vicinity too. The bed was large & very comfortable, plus there were plenty of towels, kitchen ware, & pillows + 2 TVs in the flat. Additionally, replacement coffee pods, teas, dishwater tablets & washing machine tablets were restocked as we required them. The fridge contained a few bits that could be used at an extra charge if you need them. The sofa was also a fold-out-bed if you require it. There are books everywhere for you to read too. The location is awesome, with a short walk to the main old square. Part way through our stay (through NO fault of the hotel) we had to switch rooms to apartment 18 on the same floor. This apartment was EVEN nicer, with a balcony, a beautiful bright and airy kitchen & living space, & a full bathroom. The windows let in so much light & had great views of the surrounding bustling Prague streets. The bed in this flat was just as large & comfortable as the other, + everywhere was spotless and warm. We had the all-you-can-eat breakfast in the main hotel once & it was amazing, and also had the cheese board in the hotel bar while reading books from their extensive library collection. Every staff member we encountered was polite, helpful, and very professional. There was nothing at all we didn't like. This place and its staff team were wonderful from start to finish and I will 100% be recommending them to anyone I know who is visiting Prague - both the apartments (especially number 18) and the main hotel too. If I had to be really reeeeallllyyy fussy, I would only say that the shower cubicle in apartment 21 is a little bit tight to move around in comfortably. But that really is it - we had a pretty much perfect stay.More Reviews of MOOo Downtown Private BalconyDear Mrs Matt, thank you so much for your detailed and glowing review. We’re delighted to hear you had such a wonderful stay at the MOOo Downtown apartments and enjoyed the warm welcome and excellent service from our team. It’s great to know you appreciated the spacious, comfortable apartments and the many thoughtful touches, like the prosecco and fully stocked amenities. We’re glad you enjoyed the breakfast and the stunning views from your apartment. Your feedback about the shower in apartment 21 is appreciated. We’re so happy you had a nearly perfect stay and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon! Thank you for recommending us to others visiting Prague. - erin78111 contributionsMore Reviews of Residence Bene Private BalconyThis is a 3* hotel and it is reviewed as such. It is very obvious that this hotel is run by people who understand hospitality. The attitude, communication and every detail is guest-oriented. Our room was nice and comfortable. Plenty of sockets. Balcony to relax on, although the weather in January didn't really permit that. Work desk, fridge, kettle, microwave all very useful. Safe box for those who might need it. TV we didn't use so can't comment on the selection of channels. Bathroom was decent size and clean. Leak from the shower was fixed promptly. Towels were only replaced when requested which is appreciated. Breakfast was not spectacular, but as I said, this is a 3 star hotel. However, wide variety of choices that, in my opinion, caters for variety of preferences. Free drinks at the bar was a nice touch. Although we didn't use it, the luggage storage room was available. Fantastic value for money! If there was one thing to complain about, it would be a hard bed, but that's down to personal preference. Location is fantastic, walking distance to major sights, not too far from bus/train station. We would definitely come back!Visited January 2025Traveled as a coupleWritten January 28, 2025
- zoejanayeBrisbane, Australia88 contributionsMore Reviews of Astoria Hotel Private BalconyThe hotel is in a good location if you're wanting to be walking distance to Old Town Square. The room was fine but there was no outlook/vibe. Definitely upgrade to a room with a balcony/view if you can. The pictures are a bit misleading and what looks to be a rooftop/patio isn't. Breakfast was included in the rate I booked and was also fine but I probably wouldn't pay extra for it when there's plenty of cute cafes in the area.Visited January 2025Traveled soloWritten January 10, 2025
- chessuTallinn, Estonia231 contributionsSHORT VERSION Another vote for the great beds and location. Customer service was also great. The hotel seems to be recently refurbed and as such is very nice, though I do think it’ll date quick because of some of the decor choices. In general we were happy with our stay and would consider staying again, but there were a couple of reasons why it wasn’t quite a 5-star stay for me. LOCATION Like many others have said, the location is great. It could theoretically be a little bit closer still, but about 5 minutes from Town Square or river whilst being on a quiet street really can’t be beaten by much. We were very happy with the location. HOTEL It’s marketed as a boutique hotel, which often just means small. This hotel is certainly not that small regarding rooms - about 10 rooms across 7 floors - , but the communal areas are definitely cozy in all the meanings of the word. The reception feels upscale, personal and welcoming, both in the surroundings and the customer service. Staff was available 24/7 and always happy to help, whether it’s information or something regarding the room. We arrived quite early - around noon - and were able to check in already no issues. You also get a welcome drink in he bar. Personal touches in the room - a little note and cake as well. Cleaning is opt in, but a little note was left even if opted out. There isn’t a luggage hold per se, but they will keep your stuff at reception. I believe breakfast and spa services were offered, but we opted out of those. ROOM Room is on the smaller side, but doesn’t feel too cramped due to the quite long corridor bit. I won’t mark the hotel down for it as it’s subjective and also clear on the photos whilst booking, but the decor wasn’t really for me to be honest. I don’t know if it’s maybe going for art deco vibes (based on the note about the staircase), but it felt like something that’s kind of okay for now as it seems to be freshly refurbished, but will date quick. Not just the aesthetic choices, but also things like having a carpet or no USB sockets. However that being said, everything was clean and currently in great condition. Everyone has praised the bed and we have to agree. It must be the best bed/bedding I’ve ever had and I am *fussy* when it comes to sleep! So much so that if I was in the market to purchase a new one, I’d be tempted to reach out and find out what make these were. Didn’t even hear my partner snoring/wake up once! Unheard of. We didn’t think the furniture choices were very well through through. There was a clothing hook next to the entrance.. and then an empty spot for what I imagine should’ve been a bench? Theoretically this could’ve maybe been for luggage, but there was also a tall shelf in the cupboard that implied the same. Not really any drawers, the bedside desks were tiny etc. We travelled with only carry on bags, so this wasn’t an issue for us, but definitely odd choices given that it seems to be recently updated. The room has a massive TV which does have Netflix. There’s a robe and slippers and a quiet mini-fridge. Bathroom has underfloor heating and the toiletries are by Molton Brown, which is a high end UK brand that would be quite hard to fake/pour from larger canisters, so that definitely felt luxurious. WHY IT’S NOT QUITE 5* TO ME (although I did give it 5-stars in this review) We couldn’t quite figure out the A/C. It did heat/cool eventually, but seemed to do nothing on the lowest/quietest mode and at some point it had got too warm overnight, but when I turned it on, presumably to blow out cold air, warm air was still coming out near the windows somehow? Might have been us and not necessarily an issue for us as we travelled over winter and could just open the windows, but it is something to make me vary to book again over summer period. We got given a 2 floor room “with a lovely balcony”. We did find the ‘upgrade sell’ a little funny given the time of the year/floor, but it was fine. We weren’t really expecting to have a view/use the balcony - it’s dark most of the day anyway in December. The hotel is tall, but not really taller than anything around it. Think the top floor might have some views. 2nd floor courtyard room sounded like at least it would be quiet. Well, apparently there’s some bin-emptying situation going on in the corner of the building, which probably had not been an issue on a higher floor. We’d been up since 4am and fast asleep by 23.30 when we were rudely awoken. We also found that the one lift was always somewhere high enough to not bother waiting, not an issue on the 2nd floor, but probably an issue if you need to get to 7th. We were also given a connecting room. We didn’t ask to change as they did check us in early and everything did appear quiet and well noise-isolated when we first checked in. Well, we must’ve not had neighbours for the first two days of our stay and they must’ve been able to check in early as we were woken up at 9am on our last day due to the noises through the joint door. I even went to check outside whether it was cleaners (it wasn’t) and heard plain and clear English indicating that these were guests. I think they were just talking on the phone, nothing too rowdy, but the noise carried enough to wake us up and understand the language. OVERALL We had a great stay and thought it was relatively fairly priced and would definitely consider staying at Allure again, but the A/C and connecting rooms would definitely be something I’d be concerned about enough to look elsewhere as well, particularly if travelling during a heat wave.More Reviews of Allure Hotel Prague Private BalconyDear Chessu, Let me express our gratitude for your wonderful feedback. - Florence7723 contributionsMore Reviews of Jalta Boutique Hotel Private BalconyLovely hotel right on Wensleslas square.....we specifically booked this one as we came for the Christmas markets only to find Wensleslas square was having major tram works done and there was no market this year.....however a 5/10 minute walk and your in the old town and square. The hotel is clean , well decorated, beds are comfy, bathrooms amazing....we had a balcony so was able to let in some fresh air ( despite it being minus 1) the room was extremely hot ! You don't really see the staff except when checking in ...they don't even speak when you are in and out during the day Breakfast was ok....based downstairs in fat cats , along with the public having breakfast Would of preferred a separate eating place. We did eat in fat cats downstairs and the food is amazing , huge portions and priced similar to uk Prague isn't as cheap as people think Main areas are pricey Side roads and old town are a little cheaper The ice bar is a must visit and the robot bar upstairs Prague castle is a mission of a walk , hundreds of steps then a big long queue ( almost 3 hours ) so we never made it Lots of weed bars and its well priced....its legal here but you don't see it being smoked in the streets nor do you smell it. Word of warning...its strong stuff.....we lost 6 hours after smoking one hahah Prague is lovely and the people are great.....but it's expensiveVisited December 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten December 16, 2024
- Michael HStoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom5 contributionsMore Reviews of Hotel Trevi Private BalconyLovely hotel in an old, period building. Rooms have been renovated but could still be slightly better. Room size was immense and we had a small balcony. Bed quite firm, but that suited me. Ideally the room required better duvets and a kettle in the room would be appreciated. There are hot drink facilities in the lobby downstairs, but after a day/afternoon/night walking around Prague, I didn't fancy leaving the room, once back, to go and make a drink. The bathroom was great. Good, hot showers and a decent hairdryer. A small breakfast area was available in the mornings supplying hot drinks, fruit juice, pastries, cheeses, cold meats cereals etc. The hotel is ideally situated and only minutes from Namesti Miru tramstop. From here you can explore everywhere in Prague. All in all, we would stop at this hotel again.Visited November 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten November 29, 2024

- fencer87Newark, New Jersey19 contributionsGreat location, helpful staff. Air conditioned rooms. Beautiful old world hotel. We had an awesome suite with a balcony and a ton of space. Breakfasts were a plentiful and diverse buffet with the option to order a la carts as well. Located right by the Charles Bridge. Gave a 5 star rating but the one negative was the bathroom. It was large and very clean, 2 sinks, water closet and bath / shower. Our suite also had a second toilet. But it could use a bit of a modernizing upgrade. Overall highly recommend this hotel !More Reviews of The Mozart Prague Private BalconyDear valued guest, Thank you for your wonderful review and for highlighting our old world charm and convenient location near Charles Bridge.
