- CarrieRice, Minnesota39 contributionsVegas with a TwangLOTS of fun! I duped this area Vegas with a twang. Bars and novelty shops galore. Bars actually take out a front window so you can see and hear the live band. The street was busy (October) but we expected that. Don't forget to walk on the side streets. These bars are less busy but still very fun. A safe area to walk. We noticed the street does not come alive until after 5pm. It got busier as the night went on. We were there from 4:30pm to 10:30pm. There are also resturants but we did not eat in this area. Expect to pay $25-$70 for parking. We were 3 blocks off and paid $30.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 17, 2023
- John CVancouver Island, Canada460 contributionsWild and amazing place - music - music - musicImportant facts - I am over 60 and I love live music. Our first night downtown Nashville - I nearly froze from all the sensory stimulation. Our second and third nights were much more enjoyable. Love the bars and great music - music everywhere. Too bad so much of the drinks and food is served in plastic. Make sure you do an evening walk across the walking bridge.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 7, 2023
- Travel32 contributions2nd time to Nashville but would never go on a weekend. This was our 2nd trip to Nville. Fun trip but noticed the same songs among most bands no matter which venue. The homeless with the signs are even more annoying and why the City does not crack down on this issue and allowing this problem to get worse in a the few years since we've been downtown is surprising. It was so crowded and we were there Mon to Thurs. I would never go on the weekends. No place for kids (at least Vegas has a lot more kid friendly places for kids, Nashville not) Watch for cars while at crossing walks on Broadway because some drivers not paying attention. Fun place to visit for some good music and lively entertainment, just don't go on weekends.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 19, 2024
- RandyRossRidgetown, Canada12,815 contributionsWorth A Visit! The third place that we visited on our first full day in Nashville was downtown. Some of it has changed since 1997 but much has not. This is the only place that we had to pay for parking ($25.00 US). That said, it was quite a busy place on a Monday afternoon. We wanted to eat lunch at Hatie B's but there was a long lineup (over an hour) so we chose the Blanco Cocina + Cantina restaurant instead. We ate at Hatie B's the next day at one of their other locations.Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 30, 2024
- Jais C2 contributionsLove the city and it's night life.great restaurants great bars great nightlife and fabulous natives. Was extremely disappointed by the taxi industry in Nashville and it reflect poorly on the city by day 2 of my 5 day visit i would not use their service. None would use their meters and offer a flat rate ranging from 45 to 58 dollars (for what should have been a 30.00 fair) and suggesting that you must tip well being extremely arrogant and dogmatic in there approach and taking visitors for dummies.Visited July 2024Traveled on businessWritten July 31, 2024
- Colleen CTroy, New York2,517 contributionsYou'll find yourself saying "Just ONE MORE"!I don't think you can visit Nashville without going onto Broadway and the side streets and not hopping into at least one Honky-tonk. Once you step into one you will become emersed into the music the flowing drinks and the livelihood of the locals and the visitors there for a good time. Then that "just one" attitude of either a drink or bar situation will be throw out the window and it will become....... "JUST ONE MORE" and one bar will become hopping through (or crawling) to multiple ones down the strip LOL!Visited August 2024Traveled with friendsWritten September 6, 2024
