Price trend information excludes taxes and fees and is based on base rates for a nightly stay for 2 adults found in the last 7 days on our site and averaged for commonly viewed hotels in Hvar. Select dates and complete search for nightly totals inclusive of taxes and fees.
Also known as Hvar Spanish Fortress, this stronghold is located on a former Illyrian settlement. Getting to the peak involves a steep but scenic climb up some cobbled switchback roads—a journey made much easier by rental vehicle or taxi, or by visiting as a stop on an island tour.
The fortress is ticketed to enter, and you can explore on your own or join a guided tour for a deeper dive. Either way, enjoy the sweeping views of Croatia's iconic coastline, Hvar's harbor and even the nearby Pakleni islands on a clear day. Time your visit to catch a breathtaking sunset. – Tripadvisor
