It began life as a hospital in Kuridala, a heritage-listed abandoned mining town in the Cloncurry Shire. The Kuridala Hospital was purchased by the Mount Isa Hospital Committee for £400 for removal to the Mount Isa Hospital Reserve in July 1931. It was dismantled and transported to Mount Isa. Today, visitors to the Beth Anderson Museum can view an impressive collection of antique medical equipment.

A visit to the Historic Village Herberton is like stepping back in time. Showcasing Australia’s rich and diverse history this outdoor pioneer museum is testament to an era that is long gone. Open year round to visitors, the Village collects, preserves and displays fascinating historical exhibits from across Australia. The history of this museum is also closely tied with the township of Herberton and features many priceless antiques as well as buildings that have come from the town’s ancestors. The Village currently has over 50 original buildings that date from Herberton’s foundation years. Walking through the Village, visitors are given a sense of being in a real township complete with chemist, bottle collection, school, bank, grocer’s store, frock salon, toy shop, mechanic, jail and more.

The Afghanistan Avenue of Honour is a living memorial dedicated to the memory of all who served in the fight against terror in Afghanistan and to those brave and selfless Australians who made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of freedom and liberty.

SkyPoint Climb takes place on the top of the Q1 building in Surfers Paradise and at 270 metres in the air, it is one of Australia's highest external building walks. Starting on level 77 of SkyPoint Observation Deck, Climbers will enter the open air dressed in a full-body suit and harness. Following their Climb guide, participants will then traverse up towards the crow's nest located at the highest point of the Climb at around 270 metres above the ground. Regular stops will be taken to admire the stunning 360-degree views of the Gold Coast region including the golden beaches, city skyline, and lush green hinterland. Climbers will then descend to level 77. Altogether the experience takes approximately 90 minutes including a briefing session and the time on the Climb course.

The Miles Historical Village Museum and Visitor Information Centre is open from 8.30 am until 4.30 pm every day except Christmas Day. The facility is located on the eastern entrance to Miles on the Warrego Highway. The Museum features over 34 original and replica buildings set in a streetscape reminiscent of a town from the late 1800s. Each building houses their own special collection. The facility also contains a War Museum containing photographs, stories, militaria from the Light Horse in WW1 through to the Vietnam War. The Norman Donpon Lapidary display houses a remarkable collection of fossil woods, ferns, fine agates, crystals and minerals from around the world. This facility takes the visitor on a nostalgic and surprising journey through the lives of the people of the district who lived, worked and socialised in this region. Each year thousands of visitors are impressed by the Historical Village Museum, it's collections and displays. An experience not to be missed!
