If you are looking for a special location, nature, history, good local food this is a place to be. Not a luxury location for sure but an old romanian house very nice arranged for guests. The host is friendly, a lot of outdoor activities, guided montain trips , visiting old gold mines. The food was prepared by the neighbours, really tasty.
I can say that I felt just like home, Adi and Iulia are an amazing hosts, very friendly and lovely, also their animals! The room as comfortable and we had all the facilities as we needed, Rosia Montana is a place full of history and beautiful landscapes where you can see nature in her pure frame
Nicely refurbished old house in the center of Rosia Montana, where hosts offer four rustic rooms, each with private bathroom and kitchen. We stayed in The Little House, with direct access from a nice courtyard, where there is also an dining area. The room and annexes were clean and we also had tea, coffee, a fridge and kitchen utensils at hand. We had breakfast and dinner. The food was fresh and tasty and hosts were very nice. They helped us with information on trails and acces to attractions. They are some of the people fighting to avoid destruction of this beautiful village and mountains for the sake of profit by supporting the tourist and cultural alternative, that's powerful. There was a bit of a damp smell in the room, bathroom and textiles and we felt a lack of privacy. Anyone could see inside, if we wanted to open the windows. The mattress was really bad for the back. The hosts seemed they weren't communicating too good between themselves and we received different information from each one. In the end, it was all good. Prices for different services were not clearly defined and there was a misunderstanding at payment time, but it got settled. Please implement card paying system, it's cleaner. …
An amazing place to spend our holiday!!! Is such a lovely and beautiful place where you can relax and reconnect with nature, have hiking tours, delicious food and experience the traditional village life with great people. I highly recomand it, it was an unforgettable experience!
Best guest house to stay in, eccentric room decorated with tons of books, very comfortable and has everything you need. Although our room didn’t have the kitchenette, we were allowed to cook breakfast in the room that had one since it was vacant for our 2nd night. So make sure to ask for the room with the 2-burner as that’s the newer and cleaner one. Great experience to see and use a traditional furnace.
